Park in the car park in the centre of the hamlet of La Bastide.
(S/E) Turn left up the main road. Pass the hamlet of La Bastide and arrive at a crossroads with a track.
(1) Turn left, following the yellow hiking signs marked "Chapelle de Goussargues". Leave the path leading to the hamlet of La Noette on your right. Continue along the track until you reach a crossroads at the top.
(2) In the beautiful pine forest, turn right, following the sign for Chapelle de Goussargues.
As you descend towards Goussargues, you have two options:
- left along the forest road, which is pleasant in winter as it is more open and sunny (marked on the map),
- right along the yellow-marked trail, which is pleasant in summer as it is shaded by the trees.
You will reach Goussargues.
(3) Pass the chapel, climb up into the village and go through a vaulted alleyway, then turn right. Continue slightly uphill on the forest road marked in yellow to reach the crossroads near the Anglesan houses.
(4) Leave the road and the yellow markings and take the hairpin bend on the left. Pass Les Anglesan and keep right at the next crossroads. Halfway down the slope, take a path on the right for a few metres to join another forest road.
(5) Turn right, continue down the easy descent, following the Trois Valats stream. Cross it and you will soon come to a trail junction.
(6) Leave the forest road and follow the path marked with yellow signs on the left, taking care as the signs are not very visible. Begin a short climb up a ridge in the forest. You will reach a wall.
(7) Follow the yellow markings to the right along a path that is not very visible. Continue down a short but very steep descent. Leave the forest, then pass in front of the La Bastide cemetery before reaching the hamlet and the car park (S/E) in the centre of La Bastide.
