Start at the car park by Combe Church
(S/E) On leaving the church, take the Montée de la Fontaine opposite, which continues as a footpath. At the next crossroads, turn left.
(1) Head down to the left, towards Colombier. At the junction with a small road (opposite a recycling centre), turn left. At the next junction with a road, turn left towards Colombier, follow the narrow streets and pass in front of the wash house.
(2) Cross the road and take Rue des Mares straight ahead. Follow the road down to the right for about 300m.
(3) Turn onto the path on the right (unmarked) and immediately take the dirt track on the right. Keep going in the same direction until you reach the junction with the D274.
(4) Turn left onto it and continue to a bridge
(5) Just before the bridge, turn left then right onto Chemin du Boufaran, which continues as a sandy track. Then take the track branching off to the right, which leads to a road.
(6) Turn left and follow the D274 on the right-hand side. Pass Cadignac. About 150m further on, turn right (Chemin de Bel Horizon) at a bend. Continue straight along this path until you reach the signposts.
(7) At the signposts, take the path on the left towards Mégiers. Pass through a small wooded area then follow the vineyards on the left.
(8) At the junction with the tarmac road, turn right then left and continue to the D274.
(9) Turn left and, after about 200m, go down a path bordered by a stone wall on the right. Then continue to the right towards Mégiers and cross the hamlet.
(10) Head towards Sabran along the road. Cross a bridge and take the path on the left which runs alongside a large estate.
(11) At the next junction, turn right towards Charavel, pass the Croix de Saint-Castor and then turn left. Continue along the tarmac path and cut right through the vineyards towards the hamlet, then turn left and finally right.
(12) Take the path opposite (towards Sabran) heading due north and follow the DFCI on the right.
(13) At the junction, continue straight on along this path until you reach a bridge.
(14) Before the bridge, turn right to go under the structure. Follow this path, which then veers right to join a small road. Take this road on the right and continue along it to Sabran
(15) In Sabran, take the steps going up opposite and then turn left. (You can continue further up to the church for a lovely view and then come back down the same way). Go down the next set of steps on the right. Turn left onto Rue Rostaing de Sabran and go under a large arch.
(16) At the cemetery, turn left and follow signs for Colombier. The path joins a DFCI track: take it to the left for just 100m.
(17) At a bend, take the path branching off to the right. Follow it alongside the vineyards; the path then widens and joins a tarmac section.
(18) Continue straight on, passing the Graillefiot estate. At the next hairpin bend, take the path on the right towards Combes / Colombiers.
(1) Continue left towards Combes along the outward route to the car park (S/E).
