Park in the Camp de César car park, located 1 kilometre above Laudun, at the end of Rue Frédéric Sauvage.

(S/E) From the car park, join the track and follow it to the left (north-west) to quickly reach the Lauzière crossroads. Turn right onto the path towards Col de Ventabren Est. After 300 metres, leave the path and turn left onto a trail. It runs along the side of the hill and joins a path coming from the right higher up, then joins the Col de Ventabren Ouest signpost (slightly to the left).
(1) Follow the path opposite, which starts just to the right of the signpost for Plateau de Lacau Sud (ignore the other paths on the right). Leave a faint path on your right and, after a viewpoint, you will reach a junction. Continue straight ahead (ignoring the paths on the right and left). Continue along a flat path and, at the next fork, take the left-hand path. You will arrive at the Plateau de Lacau crossroads.
Continue right towards Combe des Trois Platanes to reach the signpost of the same name.

(2) Head right towards Dessus de la Combe d'Enfer, still on a flat trail, and after about 500 m you will reach a crossroads (marked by a juniper tree). Turn left (there is no sign indicating a left turn!) and after 200 m you will reach a more open area with a beautiful view. Leave a path that descends to the right (not visible on the map) and continue straight ahead, descending for about ten metres. Return to the path you left just before and continue descending for a few metres until you find the Les Dessus de la Combe d'Enfer sign (slightly to the right).
(3) Turn left towards Combe d'Enfer. The descent is very steep with a few steps at times to make it easier. Further down, the trail turns right to enter the dry stream bed, then exits shortly after, continuing on the right side of the bank. Continue on the trail that leads to a path, follow it to the right for 100 metres to reach the Combe d'Enfer signpost.
No more signposts
(4) Follow the DFCIM8 track to the right (ignore the two tracks on the left). Go around the entire Lacau Plateau on this track and join a crossroads (tarmac).

(5) Take the track on the right towards Belvédère, pass a cistern and arrive at a new crossroads.
Leave the path on the right that goes up to the viewpoint and continue straight ahead on the track. 200 m further on, at the La République le Haut crossroads, continue straight ahead (leave the path on the left and the trail on the right (not marked on the map). Continue on the track until you reach the La République signpost.
(6) Leave the track and take the path on the right towards Col de Ventabren Ouest. The path winds its way through the vegetation with some steeper sections at times. Ignore two paths on the left (not marked on the map) and join the Col de Ventabren Ouest.
(1) Turn onto the leftmost path, which is almost flat, towards Col de Ventabren Est. At the signpost, turn right onto the path that descends towards La Lauzière.
When you reach the track, turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
