Saint-Germain-sur-l'Arbresle walks

Departure from the Agamy Cooperative Winery for a walk along the trails of five communes: Bully, Sarcey, Le Breuil, Chessy and Saint-Germain-sur-Arbresle. We are in the Pierres Dorées region of Beaujolais, with its hamlets such as Apinost and its wash house, the village with its school, castle, town hall and church. Continue to the hamlet of Montagny, the Crêt de Montgiron with its vineyards and, finally, the magnificent hamlet of Glay with its beautiful golden stones from the nearby quarries (which can be visited).

A short trip to the Monts du Lyonnais from Savigny, above Sain-Bel. A very beautiful walk through orchards with magnificent views of the Turdine, Azergues, Saône and Brévenne valleys and the surrounding mountains.

A very pretty walk to discover the rolling countryside around Savigny, alternating between dirt tracks and little-used roads, valley bottoms (Trésoncle) and hilltops (viewpoints).

This is a short hike to the Fouillet Chapel (Sourcieux-les-Mines) from the centre of Lentilly. Orientation table at the chapel, beautiful view in all directions in good weather. A round trip walk along the Azergues River from Lozanne. This is a beautiful walk for lovers of flora and fauna. Don't hesitate to go down to the river banks when possible.

A lovely, easy route with a section in the woods, stream crossings and a passage near the Villefranche-Tarare aerodrome, which can be quite busy at weekends and therefore generate some noise. A pleasant view of the Beaujolais mountains and the golden stone villages.

Charnay, a village in the Pierres Dorées region, is located in the Beaujolais area, 20 km from Lyon and 12 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône. Starting from the village of Bois-d'Oingt, this loop allows you to visit the villages of Oingt, Theizé and Moiré, passing through Woods and vineyards in a beautiful landscape.

The region has prehistoric and ancient remains, particularly from the Gallo-Roman period. Two temples are said to have existed, one on the Arjoux mountain and the other, dedicated to Jupiter, near the Mas Saint-Jean. Silver mines were worked nearby in the 15th century.

Beautiful 360° view at Mont Popey on the northern edge of the Monts du Lyonnais with, as a bonus in good weather, a breathtaking view to the east of the Monts d'Or, the Alps and Mont Blanc. Interesting ridge trail in the forest or open countryside, well marked with beautiful views. A paragliding launch site where, in good weather, you can enjoy the spectacular views! The climb up Mont Popey and the descent to Mas Saint-Jean are a little steep, but take your time!

This short walk is a great way to discover this outlying neighbourhood of Dommartin and Marcilly-d'Azergues. You will pass through fields in a very peaceful area. Enjoy the view of the lower Beaujolais region and discover the little Chemin des Chouettes.

A short hike to soak up the gentle tranquillity of the Monts du Lyonnais, just 15 km as the crow flies from Place Bellecour (Lyon). This circuit is also very close to the neighbouring towns of Tassin, Craponne, Saint-Genis-les-Ollières and Charbonnières-les-Bains. You will discover the calm of the forest with its remarkable trees, the tranquillity of small streams and breathtaking views of Lyon.
