Réaumont walks
Around Réaumont and Saint-Blaise-du-Buis
This circular route, around the villages of Réaumont and Saint-Blaise-du-Buis, starts at Réaumont - Saint Cassien station. It climbs between Saint-Blaise and La Murette, through meadows and walnut groves, then skirts Saint-Blaise to the north, descends to the west, and ends amidst the peaceful landscapes of the Bessey Plateau.

This walk is best enjoyed in spring or on the last beautiful days of autumn.

Ri d'Olon loop
A pleasant walk along the Ri d'Olon stream and then through walnut plantations. The first part of the route is through the woods and the second part is in the shade of walnut trees. This walk is suitable for young children and even pushchairs.
Quinquin route starting from Apprieu
This is an ideal walk in the woods when the weather is hot. Be careful in winter and early spring, as the paths can be muddy. There are a few steep and stony sections, so take care if you are walking with children (who are good walkers). At a good pace, the walk takes 2 hours.
Notre-Dame de Vouise
An easy hike to discover the statue towering above Voiron. A real treat, especially in snowy weather.
The statue of the Virgin Mary was erected in honour of the Iron Virgin of Le Puy-en-Velay. Legend has it that Bonnassieux committed suicide after sculpting the Virgin. However, he did not commit suicide and died with honours. He deliberately placed Jesus in her right arm so that he would not hide his mother's face as she blesses the town

The Val d'Ainan and the Clermont Tonnerre tower
This walk is not difficult, except for the distance. In the first part, you walk along the Val d'Ainan Nature Reserve, then you follow a pleasant, soft path through the woods. After a detour to the Clermont Tonnerre tower, you return to Chirens via paths or small, quiet roads.
In the second part of the route, if the weather is clear, you will have beautiful views of the Chartreuse Mountains.

It was a pleasant walk, mostly through the woods, looking for chestnuts in season. However, the return journey involved a fairly long stretch of tarmac road.
Tour of Lake Paladru
A day's walk, quite lovely and varied. You start by going through the Grand Platon Forest, then going along the south-east bank of the lake with beautiful views over the lake. You change banks and go along the Feydelière and Véronnière marshes ('Marais' - protected sites). The return is via the north-west bank of the lake with beautiful views over Chartreuse and, if the weather is clear, Mont Blanc.

This is an easy walk through hedgerows and woods.The route takes you to the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Milin, the Croix du Moine Mort (Dead Monk's Cross) and the ruins of the Chartreuse de Sylve Bénite.

In summer, the route combines shaded areas with lush greenery. In winter, it can be enjoyable in snowy conditions (consider snowshoes depending on snow conditions).

This is a fairly short trail through the village of Izeaux. It takes you around the centre of the village, and offers some lovely views of the village.Take a few 'tracolets' through the heart of the village, and you'll discover some of the remarkable features of Izeaux.
Rochebrune
This low peak and its twin opposite on the Vercors side, the Dent de Moirans, watch over the exit of the Isère as it flows quietly towards the Rhône and the entrance of rain and snow clouds pushed by the north winds. A remarkable viewpoint over the valleys, it is an ideal half-day walk.
From Izeaux to Notre-Dame de la Croix
From the village of Izeaux, you climb up to the Domaine de Parménie where you can admire the charming Chapelle de Notre-Dame de la Croix. From the orientation table, you will have a panoramic view from the Mont du Chat in the Ain to the peaks of the north-east of the Vercors.

Racin Circular Trail (Trail No. 1 of the "Western Chartreuse Trails")
A family walk where you’ll discover Voreppe amidst its hilly surroundings, with its old hamlets, its hillsides once covered in vineyards, and the Poor Clares monastery.
However, this trail presents risks typical of mountain and forest paths (falling branches and the Roize river overflowing at the ‘Pas Japonais’ crossing, etc.).
The Taillis de la Dame and the Bois du Seigneur in Châbons
A beautiful walk in the Nord Isère. Your walk, in a hilly environment, takes you through alternating bocage and undergrowth. There are no particular difficulties to be feared on this route (except for an unguarded level crossing to cross...).
