Deep in the Morvan forest, you reach the site of the Socrate maquis and then emerge much later from the forest at the Gallo-Roman theatre of Les Bardiaux. The return journey is along a path with information panels about other points of interest in the forest.

Forest hike in the Morvan to discover three healing springs and a chapel far from any human occupation on theGRP® route du Morvan. The route is extremely simple and very well marked in yellow.

A lovely walk starting from the Camping des Soulins, with beautiful panoramic views of Lake Pannecière.

This circular route runs alongside part of Lake Pannecière before climbing up to the ridges, offering fine views of the Morvan hills, before descending through woodland to the part of the lake where the Yonne flows into it. It passes close to a developed rocky outcrop offering superb views of Château-Chinon and the Morvan hills.

Magnificent walk around Lac des Settons with an almost constant view of the lake. Well-marked trail with plenty of shade along the way. Very little tarmac and guaranteed peace and quiet!

A short walk to discover Ouroux-en-Morvan, its pond and wetlands, its village and its history. Suitable for all, this pleasant stroll will delight the whole family.

This circular allows you to see some of the region's mills that are no longer in operation, in the commune of Ouroux-en-Morvan. It will also allow you to discover some of the commune's hamlets.

Let's go back in time to 2008, when the commune of Ouroux-en-Morvan was the geographical centre of the Eurozone. This distinction was calculated by the Institut Géographique National (IGN). The exact point was located in the Bondy forest. However, the centre of the Eurozone changes with the accession of new member countries. Each new accession to the euro zone shifts this central point. Thus, in 2009, with the entry of Slovakia, the centre moved to Liernais, in Côte-d'Or. This "European point" is represented by a piece of granite, and along the route you will find signs explaining the role of the Eurozone.

Hike to discover the Bellie Fountain in Ouroux en Morvan, as well as the pond and wash house in the village. The hike takes you past the Ouroux-en-Morvan pond and the village wash house.

The first part of this route allows you to discover part of the commune of Ouroux-en-Morvan, passing through the hamlet of Le Plessis, then Savelot. The second part of the route takes you along the Chemin du Tacot, a single track road that ran from Corbigny to Seaulieu. You will pass the old Cœuzon station and the bridge-tunnel over the Chalaux river. You will also have the opportunity to see an almost identical full-size replica of the old Tacot locomotive. You will continue under arches covered in vegetation and finish by walking alongside the Étang d'Ouroux lake. In front of the village hall, you can also admire the blue carriage, which is unique in that it has the same metre gauge as the Tacot.

A hike through woods and fields that starts at Lac des Settons and leads to Gouloux, where you can visit a clog factory (booking required) before discovering the delightful Saut de Gouloux and La Cure waterfalls further on. Take the opportunity to admire the view over this turbulent river. Return via villages and close to one of the Morvan peat bogs, at a place called Morégnon.

A hike through varied scenery: fields, pine forest, woodland, stream, and an orientation table with a panoramic view of the Morvan from the Chapelle du Banquet. A printed version of the route is available at the Ouroux-en-Morvan Tourist Office.

A lovely hike in the footsteps of the Maquis, alternating between hedged farmland and forest, with beautiful panoramic views, especially of Lac de Pannecière.

A circular route starting from Anost, in the southern Morvan, which leads through forests of fir and other tree species to Notre-Dame de l’Aillant, the site of a Maquis Socrate camp, the Pierre du Pas de l’Âne, and the Tureau des Grands Bois, whilst enjoying the cool air in summer and pleasant views.

A short hike where, after playing leapfrog with the streams that run through Anost, you climb through the forest to a beautiful viewpoint dominated by the statue of Notre-Dame de l'Aillant.

Discover the Haut-Morvan. Hamlets are scattered across a landscape marked by ridges and steep-sided valleys. The forest and its exploitation are omnipresent. Streams and animals in the meadows complete the picture. It is a beautiful walk between hamlets, countryside and forest with brief and occasional difficulties.

The second stage of this three-day hike, which is shorter and less steep. It leads from Athez to the Étang du Châtelet via the old Voie du Tacot railway line. The hike passes through Arleuf and the Théâtre des Bardiaux. From pond to pond, you’ll walk in the footsteps of the timber rafters.
