This information sheet was written after completing the PR® trail called the Boucle des Galvachers, created on the initiative of the French Hiking Federation, the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté committee and its volunteers.
The starting point is in a car park between the Maison des Vacheliers and a restaurant in Anost. The post office is just across the road.

(S/E) Walk up the main street where the car park is located, passing in front of the town hall. Turn left onto Rue du Docteur Roy. At the T-junction, turn left. Before reaching the main road, turn right onto the gravel path leading downhill. Then follow the road as it curves around.
(1) At the campsite entrance on your left, go up the path through the woods on the right. Leave a path on your right and continue uphill. Shortly afterwards, you will see a forest on your left and a horticultural farm on your right. Continue uphill, heading south-west.
(2) Enter the hamlet of Bussy, go straight ahead, leaving the roads on your right. At the junction with a main road (D88), take the road opposite that goes left and then turns right. At a fork, continue straight ahead (south-southeast) on a path.
(3) At the intersection, take the path on the right. Ignore a path on the right and begin the descent. At a fork, take the path on the right to descend towards the road. Be careful, this section is steep.
(4) At the bottom, follow the D388 to the left towards Athez.
(5) In Athez, turn left. When the road starts to climb on the left, turn right onto the grass. There is a picnic table here.
(6) At the start of the trails, take the one on the left that goes uphill. At the next junction, turn left. Keep heading north-east and ignore all the side roads. Go around the garden of a house on the right via the stream bed or its banks.
(7) Join a road and follow it to the right. At the intersection, turn left onto Rue de la Fontaine Sainte-Claire. Pass the chapel (picnic table) and take the next paved road on your left.
(8) Turn right and immediately take the unpaved forest road. Ignore the paths on your left and continue with a hairpin turn to the right. Continue along the main road for a long time until you reach Sanceray.
(9) At the houses, follow the road to the left. At the fork, turn right. Continue along this path towards the north.
(10) At the intersection, continue straight ahead on the road. At the T-junction, turn left.
(11) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead on the road. Ignore the turn-offs on the right. At an intersection with a grocery store, turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
