Mirecourt walks

Starting from Mirecourt, this loop is an enjoyable way to discover the heritage and countryside of the Vosges. The route passes through varied landscapes: village lanes, hedged paths, open fields and rivers crossed by charming wooden footbridges. Along the way, you will reach the village of Poussay and then Mazirot. Starting from the Royal Manufactory in Bains-les-Bains, hike along the towpath between the Canal de l'Est and the Rivière le Coney. Pipée footbridge, Bois de la Pipée and crossing of the hamlet of Les Baraques. Descend through the woods to lock no. 32.

This is an easy hike, passing by the Saint-Joseph cliffs and the Cité d'Affrique, mainly in the woods, offering beautiful views of the Saint-Joseph cliffs and the Moselle valley, and allowing you to explore the ruins of the Cité (also known as Camp) d'Affique, a Gallic archaeological site dating from the early Iron Age, around 500 BC.
