There is space to park two or three cars in the small area at the crossroads.
Blue ring markings
(S/E) Take the street opposite the bridge called Chemin de Bralleville. Turn onto the path going up to the left about a hundred metres further on.
(1) Enjoy the beautiful view of the village of Xirocourt and the Madon valley. Follow the path that turns left, enter the Bois d'Arpontois and immediately turn right onto a beautiful trail (blue ring). Ignore the paths on the left and right and continue straight ahead to the large Chêne d'Arpontois oak tree.
(2) Climb up to the left to reach the top of the woods via a path that can be slippery during the rainy season. At the top of this short climb, turn right and continue along the edge of the woods and then across the plateau: view of Germonville. You will reach a crossroads.
(3) Ignore the small gravel road and continue straight ahead, then turn right 30 metres further on onto the grassy path. Descend towards the Vau farm to the viewpoint.
(4) Turn right and climb the grassy path leading to the heights of Bralleville.
(5) This superb viewpoint is worth stopping at to admire the hill of Sion Vaudemont overlooking the village of Bralleville. At the junction with Rue de la Grande Fin, first turn left then right onto Rue de la Poirière and continue onto Grande Rue. Continue right until you reach the Salle des Fêtes.
(6) Continue straight ahead, passing to the right of the Salle des Fêtes, and follow the small road. Further on, you will pass a small pond on your right, well hidden behind the fir trees.
(7) In a right-hand bend, just after a copse, leave the road by turning left onto a grassy path that runs alongside the Madon and joins the Xirocourt bridge (S/E).
