Worth a visit

Along the way, the loop alternates between the peaceful banks of the Madon and rural passages, with several small wooden footbridges and pretty water features that are ideal for a break or bird watching. In the villages, you will come across an old covered wash house, old stone walls and a long staircase offering a view of the plain, among other things. In Poussay and Mazirot, take a detour to visit the churches and quiet streets, then finish in Mirecourt where you can stroll along the Madon, enjoy a drink in the square and, if time permits, discover the art of stringed instrument making at the museum or during a workshop visit. Ideal at sunset, the loop offers beautiful views of the Vosges countryside and great picnic spots.

(13) Some of Mirecourt's must-see attractions: visit the Museum of French Stringed Instrument Making and Bow Making, then stop by the birthplace of Saint Pierre Fourier. Not far from there, you can visit the House of Mechanical Music.
