Start at the end of Rue du Pâquis, in Essegney. There is a lorry park.
(S/E) Follow the signs for the lake and football stadium (signposted). Continue to the first junction.
(1) Turn right, continue straight on, running alongside the football pitch.
(2) Turn right and continue straight on until you reach a large car park.
(3) Take the path to the right of the information sign (in fact, go straight on for a few metres then turn right – this is the path you’ll need to follow throughout the route, which goes round the lake.
(4) Turn left between the lake and the Moselle.
In the final third of the route, the path is lined with lime trees that are very fragrant in July.
(3) Take the outward route on the right to return to the car park (S/E)
