Maumusson walks
The Donneau Trail via the Moulin de la Garenne, starting from Pannecé
A lovely countryside route in the commune of Pannecé. It comprises two main sections:
- the greenway, a former railway line now dedicated to walkers and cyclists,
- the Donneau stream, which you’ll follow at the end of the route, on private land open to the public.
Be sure to take a short detour to admire the very pretty Moulin de la Garenne.
The Erdre footpaths from Bonnœuvre
This is a pleasant, varied route with numerous sections through the forest, along farm tracks and finally alongside the beautiful River Erdre, which we follow at the end of the route.
This route follows two sections of marked routes, in yellow but in a very random manner; one on the Layons route and the other on the Erdre route.
Several sections are on authorised private land. Please respect these areas.
La Boire Torse and the banks of the Loire at Anetz
This pleasant route initially follows an old branch of the Loire known as the Boire Torse. It then crosses the Grande Prée de Varades before running alongside the Loire for several kilometres. It presents no difficulty as it is completely flat.
If necessary, you can replace the path along the banks of the Loire with the Loire à Vélo route, which is well signposted.
From the Èvre to the Loire via Saint-Florent-le-Vieil
The River Èvre, which crosses the Pays des Mauges diagonally, joins the Loire at Notre-Dame du Marillais (Saint-Florent-le-Vieil), the starting point of the walk. The walk follows the Èvre at the start and joins the Loire in its final section, following part ofthe GR®3.
Between the Èvre and the Loire
Take a walk to discover the riverine landscape along the Èvre and the Loire. Follow theGR®3along the left bank of the Loire to Le Marillais, taking in the rich heritage of Saint-Florent-le-Vieil: the abbey and abbey church, the Promenade Julien Gracq and the Chapel of Notre-Dame du Marillais. On your return from your walk, enjoy the panoramic view of the Loire Valley from the Montglonne esplanade.

Between the Loire and the vineyards in Drain - short version
This walk is a shorter version of the 18.7 km "Between the Loire and the vineyards" walk. You will cross Drain between hillsides, wooded paths, fields and vineyards. Take the time to observe the typical flora and fauna of each of these environments, as well as the unobstructed view of the Loire valleys as you cross the vineyards of Drain.
Between the Loire and the vineyards in Drain
Starting from the Beauregrêt campsite, walk close to the waterholes. These exceptionally rich environments reveal their different facets as the seasons change. The route takes you along the Nigaudière and Rompure ponds, where the waters of the Robinets stream slowly warm up before joining the Loire. The surrounding meadows, bordered by hedges of ash trees—mostly pollarded—are exceptionally well preserved.

A pleasant walk around the magnificent Château de la Turmelière, where Joachim du Bellay was born.
The Bois de la Boulaie
Hike through the Boulaie woods, along the ponds and in the grounds of the Château de la Houssaye.

Oudon route via La Pilardière and the Hâvre valley
This is a very pretty route in the Oudonnaise countryside, featuring the Pilardière communal estate and the Hâvre valley. The route consists almost entirely of paths and trails, with very little tarmac. It is accessible in all weathers, except along the banks of the Hâvre during periods of high water. Many sections are tree-lined, making it particularly pleasant in hot weather. Depending on the season, you may be able to admire magnificent carpets of cyclamen at the foot of the trees on the Pilardière estate.
Oudon-Ancenis circular route along the banks of the Loire
A superb walk, with no difficulty other than the length, almost entirely along the water’s edge. Starting from Oudon, passing through Champtoceaux, crossing at the Ancenis bridge, picnic and return to Oudon. Follow theGR®3on the south bank and theGR®3Eon the north bank; red and white markings are clearly visible.
Of the 22 km, around 5 km is on country roads on the Ancenis-Oudon section. The rest is on paths or trails.
