Maumusson walks

This is a pleasant, varied route with numerous sections through the forest, along farm tracks and finally alongside the beautiful River Erdre, which we follow at the end of the route. This route follows two sections of marked routes, in yellow but in a very random manner; one on the Layons route and the other on the Erdre route. Several sections are on authorised private land. Please respect these areas.

A pleasant family walk that takes you through the parks and gardens of Ancenis and Saint-Géréon, the Château d'Ancenis, Les Halles and Île Delage, ending along the Loire.

This walk is a shorter version of the 18.7 km "Between the Loire and the vineyards" walk. You will cross Drain between hillsides, wooded paths, fields and vineyards. Take the time to observe the typical flora and fauna of each of these environments, as well as the unobstructed view of the Loire valleys as you cross the vineyards of Drain.

Starting from the Beauregrêt campsite, walk close to the waterholes. These exceptionally rich environments reveal their different facets as the seasons change. The route takes you along the Nigaudière and Rompure ponds, where the waters of the Robinets stream slowly warm up before joining the Loire. The surrounding meadows, bordered by hedges of ash trees—mostly pollarded—are exceptionally well preserved.

A pleasant walk around the magnificent Château de la Turmelière, where Joachim du Bellay was born.

Hike through the Boulaie woods, along the ponds and in the grounds of the Château de la Houssaye. Starting from the church, explore the countryside of Saint Laurent-du-Mottay and discover the architecture of the Mauges region and the orchards for which Anjou is famous. Enjoy wild, surprising and charming landscapes on a historical walk starting at the foot of the medieval fortress, overlooking the Loire and passing through a forest steeped in legend.

From the unmissable panorama of the Loire at Le Champalud to the ruins of the Citadel of Champtoceaux, via the Coulée de la Luce, a path steeped in legend, you will pass through unspoilt countryside.

This is a very pretty route in the Oudonnaise countryside, featuring the Pilardière communal estate and the Hâvre valley. The route consists almost entirely of paths and trails, with very little tarmac. It is accessible in all weathers, except along the banks of the Hâvre during periods of high water. Many sections are tree-lined, making it particularly pleasant in hot weather. Depending on the season, you may be able to admire magnificent carpets of cyclamen at the foot of the trees on the Pilardière estate.

A beautiful route to discover the Folies Siffait, the Saint-Méen chapel and the views of the Loire.

You don’t like tarmac. You enjoy having the shade when the sun is beating down, walking through wooded areas and following the course of a river. A few ups and downs don’t put you off. Then this beautiful walk along the Hâvre Valley, starting from Oudon, is sure to please you. Please note: at (7), the Pont Noyer footbridge is removed from1 November to 15 April, depending on the river’s low-water level.

Set off on an adventure on the borders of Loire-Atlantique and Maine-et-Loire. Explore this trail with your family along the Divatte and its tributaries. Near the Divatte, the route passes by a Gallo-Roman bridge, old water mills and the Perthuis Churin leisure centre. Along the Ilette and in the valley, discover unspoilt flora. Bring your picnic and enjoy a fun hike with geocaching (an outdoor treasure hunt using GPS devices).

From the church, a quick descent to Les Boires, follow the valley, then a quick climb through the vineyards to return via the valley and head up to La Varenne.
