Le Teil greenway
From the car park behind the post office in Le Teil, we set off towards the Greenway in the direction of Aubenas, covering part of the route through bridges and tunnels before returning by the same route.
Greenway from Le Teil to Saint-Pons
Greenway inaugurated in December 2025, for the section from Le Teil to Saint-Pons. Bring lighting (headlamp or other) to cross four tunnels, one of which is 900 m long. This Greenway is to be extended soon. The hike is classified as difficult because of its length.
Greenway from Le Teil to Alba
The greenway was inaugurated in December 2025, for the section from Le Teil to the old Alba-la-Romaine railway station, at least supposedly. Bring a light ( headlamp or other) to go through three tunnels, one of which is 900 m long.

A short, easy walk to get back into shape; no particular difficulty, though do take care when descending and climbing out of the ravine if the ground is wet. I wanted a route that didn’t follow the same path back, but unfortunately, due to the numerous closures of hiking trails by farmers, landowners and hunters, I wasn’t able to… The highlight of this route is reaching the Ravin de Verdiny and the magnificent terraced fields.
The Pic de Chenavari starting from Rochemaure
