Description of the walk

Departure from the car park behind the post office.

(S/E) Follow the markings on the cycle path, heading south. After a short climb, you will reach the start of the Greenway (barrier).

(1) Follow the greenway through Le Teil.

(2) Cross the bridge over Avenue Mattéoti and continue until you reach the RN102 in the Mélas district.

(3) Follow the road as closely as possible, then veer off slightly due to vegetation.

(4) Go through the first tunnel (headlamp recommended) and, once you come out, continue along the national road.

(5) Go through the second tunnel. At the exit, continue on the viaduct and enjoy the beautiful views. Go to the small cabin on the left.

(6) Turn around and take the same route back in the opposite direction, where a slight downhill slope makes it easier to return to the car park (S/E).

Hello,

On Sunday, I set off on the greenway linking Le Teil to Aubignas.

In my opinion, it's a very pretty route to do on foot or by bicycle. Everything is well marked, and you don't necessarily need to wear hiking boots; a simple pair of trainers will do.

There is one small downside, however: at one point along the route, we were marvelling at the river running alongside a very high, steep cliff, but there is no protection at the level of the path overlooking it, which is dangerous for cyclists and children who could fall into the ravine.

Congratulations on this new route.
