A circular walk around Middleton Top area. The 360° view offered by Harboro' Rocks over Carsington Water reservoir is incredible. It is also an opportunity to have a closer look at the windmills.

Nice, easy fine weather walk starting from the beautiful village of Winster. Lovely views as you travel through different terrains.

A good mixed terrain walk with great views. The early footpath rising through the woods was not well used so poorly defined.

Bakewell to Manchester by public transport was a 2h30 trip. Too much of a sitting for us. We decided to walk the 13 k up to Grindleford (3h30 walk) and catch the train from there (1 hour to Manchester Piccadilly). The start is a bit abrupt, the section along the river splendid, and there is a pub 5 minutes before the train station, if you've missed your train (or if you're early for the next one)...
