Maginot Line Fort A24, known as the “Fort aux Fresques”, consists of an entrance block and three combat blocks. Its uniqueness lies in the various humorous murals depicting the life of a fortress crew, as well as the mottos and names of the different underground galleries. There is a single departure time for tours: please arrive 10 minutes before departure.

On1 May 1988, the “Marie Dubois” walk was inaugurated. This walk “for freedom and tolerance” aims to revive the route taken by Protestants from the Metz region between 1685 and 1789 to attend services in Ludweiler (Saarland). We cover only a short section of these paths through the forests of Landonvillers and Courcelles-Chaussy.

The walk starts in Glatigny, a village "cursed" for Jews following a false accusation of murder of a Jewish merchant on a 3-year-old child in 1669. The latter was rehabilitated in 2009 with the installation of a commemorative plaque: it took 340 years for the village to restore dialogue and respect between the different faithsThis route then passes through the Lorraine villages of Cheuby, Sainte-Barbe, Gras and Retonfey, where you can admire farms, castles, calvaries and wash houses.

A magnificent hike in the La Houve forest, accessible to the whole family. Passing through Merten, La Ferme aux Cloches, the Miners' Trail, the Oak of the Cats, the fountain, the statue of Saint Christopher, Falck, the water tower and arrival at the car park.

After a stroll along the banks of the "Ruisseau de Quarante" and through a small valley of wild beauty, this short route invites you to discover a typical Lorraine linear village, Servigny-lès-Sainte-Barbe, which has successfully preserved its exceptional built heritage.

Circular route through fields that passes close to the old railway line (partly destroyed and partly underground – disused tunnel near Nouilly) and can be completed with a visit to the site of the old station in Nouilly, now converted for private use.

A short walk in a site not to be missed. You will walk in the footsteps of the Queulots who, in the Middle Ages, frightened the inhabitants with their sticks coated in manure.

An update will be published once the path is accessible again. This hike offers magnificent views of the Moselle valley, the Stromberg and Sierck Castle.

A short, easy family walk to explore the banks of the Moselle, the village of Argency and the Malroy ponds. If you wish, you can cross the dam at the Argency hydroelectric power station. You may also spot water birds such as ducks, herons, coots, etc.

A pleasant circular route around the village of Bambiderstroff, through woods, meadows and farmland, passing close to various Maginot Line fortifications, including the small Bambesch fort.Passing over ridges, this route also offers some stunning panoramic views.

A circular walk in the Three Borders region and the Moselle wine country.The route runs alongside the Moselle before crossing it and climbing up into the woods above Schengen (Luxembourg). Beautiful views of the valley, vineyards and villages of Perl (Germany), Apach and Sierk.

This walk takes you to two castles: Sierck Castle and Manderen Castle, better known as Malbrouck Castle. Numerous religious buildings (chapels, wayside shrines, churches, Jewish cemetery in Sierck). Finally, the route allows you to discover a rich variety of flora (particularly along the nature trail at Montenach) and fauna (birds of prey, woodpeckers). Also worth seeing are two typical Lorraine villages with their old buildings.

Short walk around Vantoux, Mey and Vallières. This short, easy route does not go through any forests, making it pleasant to do in winter when you are looking for some sunshine. It will take you to Mey Church and the Vallières wash house.

This route, mostly through woodland, will take you on a tour of the Manderen Valley. Malbrouck Castle, a landmark of the Three Borders region and the Manderen Valley, will be the final stop on this walk.This walk will also give you the chance to discover the Husprung resurgence, the Chapel of Peace and to pass through several villages typical of the region.

This hike, suitable for families and all seasons, will allow you to enjoy the colours of autumn, the silence of winter, the spring flora and the shade of summer.

A beautiful circular starting from the village of Contz-les-Bains to the summit of Stromberg, which overlooks the Moselle and faces Sierck and its medieval castle.

This short, easy walk starts in Saint-Julien-lès-Metz and takes you through the green spaces on the western edge of Metz. Following the Ruisseau de Vallières stream, you will pass through the Vallières and Corchade neighbourhoods before arriving at the bucolic village of Vantoux. After visiting the 12th-century church in Mey and its traditional village, you will return to Saint-Julien-lès-Metz through fields with beautiful views of the Metz metropolitan area.

Starting from Fort Queuleu, this walk will allow you to discover or rediscover the varied landscapes of southern Metz. After exploring the surroundings of Fort Queuleu, a historic landmark, you will reach the village of Peltre and its famous orchards, where you will have the opportunity to pick fruit depending on the season and your preferences. This village was named in 2020 and 2021 in the ranking of the best places to live among towns with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants. You will then return towards the Technopole district, walking along the paths of Lakes Ariane and Symphonie, two biodiversity reserves.
