Route of the Templar Estate

The walk starts in Glatigny, a village "cursed" for Jews following a false accusation of murder of a Jewish merchant on a 3-year-old child in 1669. The latter was rehabilitated in 2009 with the installation of a commemorative plaque: it took 340 years for the village to restore dialogue and respect between the different faiths
This route then passes through the Lorraine villages of Cheuby, Sainte-Barbe, Gras and Retonfey, where you can admire farms, castles, calvaries and wash houses.

A beautiful route, starting from Retonfey (where there are plenty of parking spaces) rather than Glatigny. However, it is best avoided on windy or very hot days as there are not many trees or places to find shade.

A beautiful route, best done in dry weather as some sections are a little muddy. Passes through several pleasant little villages. The only downside is that there are few parking spaces, which can be difficult for a group. But I recommend this beautiful and varied route.
