__Access to the start: Servigny-lès-Sainte-Barbe
Park in the small car park at the village hall near the route information board.

(S/E) With your back to the village, take the dirt track that winds down alongside the farm buildings.
(1) At the crossroads with the signpost for “Bois de Gras”, turn right towards “Servigny-lès-Sainte-Barbe via the Ruisseau de Quarante” as indicated on the signpost.
This route also takes you to Sainte-Barbe via Gras. You do not join another circular route. However, from Sainte-Barbe you can complete a circular route by heading to Vrémy, then Failly, and back to Servigny-lès-Sainte-Barbe.
(2) After 400 m, turn left and cross the "Ruisseau de Quarante" and continue to the right into the "Fontaine à Lions" valley, which runs alongside the stream for 750 m.
(3) Turn right to cross the stream again and head back up onto the plateau.
By turning left, you can join the Metz-Métropole “Le Vallon de Quarante” route (Walks and Nature No. 12) towards Noisseville, a distance of 5.1 km.
(4) Turn right at the fork in the dirt track to head back towards Servigny-lès-Sainte-Barbe.
Continue along the path until you reach the Route de Nouilly and turn right towards the village of Servigny-lès-Sainte-Barbe. Continue along this road and cross the village via the main street to the car park of the village hall in Servigny-lès-Sainte-Barbe (S/E).
By turning left, you can join the Metz-Métropole “Le Vallon de Quarante” route (Balades et Natures No. 12) heading towards Nouilly, a distance of 5.1 km.
