Discover a little-known part of Libourne after a few minutes' drive, leaving the traffic behind for the vineyards and then the tranquillity of the banks of the Dordogne. If it is hot and the sun is strong, you will be in the shade and cool on your return. The presence of the menhir is surprising.

Be careful in wet weather, as the path can be slippery.

Cursan West Circular
This is a very bucolic route through numerous pleasant woodlands, meadows and small hamlets, with lots of animals, but to enjoy it you also have to accept a few roads (fortunately very quiet ones)...
Guîtres Abbey, walk in the Gabay region
The starting point of the route, Guîtres Abbey (11th and 15th centuries) is an imposing monument located on the Way of St James. We will continue our walk through the gentle Pays Gabay (pronounced gabaye) to meet three rivers, the Isle, the Dronne and the Lary.

Charlot Mill
The route is slightly hilly, with a significant section in the woods, ending at the edge of a very picturesque pond. This is a particularly suitable spot for a picnic, but bring a table as the few available are often occupied by fishermen.

The circular of valiant via Jugazan and Rauzan
From Jugazan, enjoy the rolling countryside offering magnificent panoramic views of the Engranne valley. Continuing towards Rauzan, wind your way through the rows of vines to reach its medieval castle. Finish your hike by discovering the many Palaeolithic sites in Lugasson.

A circular route in a fairly hilly landscape where you can admire beautiful views, a dolmen, a Romanesque church and enjoy the undergrowth and vineyards. You can also stop at the "Cabane à Lire" (reading hut), where many books are available.
Tested again on 07/02/2019, the descent after the (1) is narrow but accessible.
