Dounoux walks
Route of the Three Soldiers Fountains
Legend attributes the name of the fountain to an event during the war in the time of Charles the Bold. Lorraine partisans, loyal to Duke René, harassed the Burgundians besieging Epinal and managed to lure a detachment of Burgundians into an ambush not far from the fountain. They killed many of the soldiers in the detachment and left the bodies of three of them there.
Étang de la Comtesse
This walk will take you through the Ban d'Uxegney National Forest, starting with the Étang de la Comtesse and its peat bog, where you can discover the little "firefly nymph", frogs, water lilies, marsh marigolds, yellow bladderwort and floating bulrush. Not to mention the sundew, which is an insectivorous plant.
Throughout this walk, you will also discover the Roches d'Olima, its powder magazine and the supply canal for the Bouzey reservoir.
The heights of Saint-Nabord
A short, easy walk in the hills above Saint-Nabord (except for the climb at the start...). Ideal for getting back into shape after winter.
Belvedere and Cuveaux rocks
A short hike full of surprises in a forest environment among sandstone rocks. A viewpoint equipped with a promontory offering a beautiful view of the Moselle valley.The loop can be done in either direction, but the suggested direction gives you a better idea of the elevation gain.There are markings (yellow diamonds) but they are not always easy to spot.
Please note that access to the Tête des Cuveaux viewpoint is closed until further notice.

Saint-Mont via Vieux Saint-Amé
A beautiful shaded walk in the Fossard Forest, which has no shortage of points of interest: the beautiful Chapelle du Vieux Saint-Amé, the magnificent Saint-Mont esplanade, the Pont des Fées and the Miraumont waterfall. At the summit of Saint-Mont, a vast grassy area is ideally suited for a picnic break and offers, as a bonus, a magnificent 360° panorama of the Moselle and Moselotte valleys.
The Tendon waterfalls
A trail in the heart of the Vosges forest will take you to two magnificent waterfalls and across a few small streams. Of course, like all water trails, it is best to visit outside the dry seasons, otherwise it loses all its appeal. The trail is fairly well marked (red rings) and there are picnic tables along the way (especially in the first part).

Hike no. 12 - The sources of the Durbion
Hike in the heart of the Dompierre Communal Forest. Let yourself be carried away by the sound of water and birdsong.
Haute Verrière loop
A hike through the woods separating the villages of Lépanges-sur-Vologne and Viménil. You will be accompanied by deciduous trees (oaks and beeches) and conifers (fir, spruce and even larch).
The ponds by the Prieuré d'Hérival
A pleasant route combining forests, numerous ponds, beautiful views and heritage sites.

There are numerous paths and trails around the ponds, so follow the description and map carefully.
The ponds of Girmont-Val-d'Ajol
A beautiful walk through woods and countryside. You will discover a few ponds, magnificent panoramic views and a pretty waterfall.
La Vigotte - La Beuille loop
The first part of this circuit alternates between forest and meadow, dotted with pretty ponds.
The second part, which is more "airy", offers magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding hills.
The return to the inn invites you to enjoy a well-deserved rest overlooking the fishing ponds
Circuit des Forfeleuses
In the Vologne Valley at the foot of the Montagne du Village, Fays is a small, characterful village in the Vosges mountains, surrounded by greenery.
Girecourt Castle Loop
This hike with little elevation gain allows you to discover the villages of Girecourt-sur-Durbion, Gugnécourt and Méménil. This circuit, mostly on roads, is ideal on a beautiful spring or autumn day.
Les Baraques, the Canal de l'Est, the Manufacture Royale
Starting from the Manufacture Royale car park in Bains-les-Bains. After crossing lock 32, you will climb gently through the woods towards the hamlet of Les Baraques, then reach lock 31 and finish on the towpath between the river and the canal.
(Please note that hunting is permitted on a small section of the route on Thursdays and Sundays.)
"White Fleur de Lys" brooch, Manufacture Royale - la Pipée - Les Baraques
Starting from the Royal Manufactory in Bains-les-Bains, hike along the towpath between the Canal de l'Est and the Rivière le Coney. Pipée footbridge, Bois de la Pipée and crossing of the hamlet of Les Baraques. Descend through the woods to lock no. 32.
"Red fleur-de-lys" loop of the Manufacture Royale de Bains
Between the towpath and the forest, a short loop following the red fleurs-de-lis starting from the Manufacture Royale de Bains.

"Blue Lily" loop starting from the Manufacture Royale de Bains
Hike starting from the Manufacture Royale in Bains-les-Bains, a magnificent 18th-century industrial site. Follow the blue fleurs-de-lis signs
Loop - Manufacture Royale - Hautmougey - Canal de l'Est
Loop starting from the Manufacture Royale de Bains, through the forest, the fields on the Plateau de la Fosse le Loup and along the Canal de l'Est.
Private hunting is permitted in part of the forest on Thursdays and Sundays.
"Orange Fleur de Lys" circular starting from the Manufacture Royale
Starting from the Manufacture Royale in La Vôge-les-Bains, this hike first follows the Coney and the Canal de l'Est, then passes through Fontenoy-le-Château, before making a wide circular loop on the plateau to reach the Maison Forestière de la Pipée. The return journey follows the Ruisseau de Gruey to rejoin the Coney and return to the Manufacture Royale.
Virine route
A varied hike through woods, meadows and valleys.
Please note: the section of the route from point (10) is currently impassable due to fallen trees along the stream. To return to the starting point, head towards Circourt by following the road (D39) to the right, then turn left into Rue de la Chapelle, which passes in front of the church, and continue straight on along the road that extends from it to join the D39a. Cross it to find the path you took at the start and follow it to the left to return to the car park.
On the heights of Vecoux
Hike through a very shady forest, passing by two small bucolic ponds and possibly a short descent to the Pont du Rondin.
Valère Fountain Circular in Frizon
This is an easy walk that follows the blue chestnut leaf markings and takes you to the Fontaine Valère fountain.
Grandes Manches route in Fontenoy-le-Château
This marked pedestrian route (blue square) starts at the municipal campsite (car park, bar and restaurant open in the evening from May to October).
You will pass through magnificent forests known for their high-quality oak trees. You may occasionally be surprised by deer crossing the path.
This route takes in the splendid Arsondieux and Breuillots lakes, passes through veritable "cathedral" forests and goes near the Chapel of the Virgin of Bois Bani (a place of pilgrimage).
