From Épinal, take the road towards the Razimont district. Cross the Moselle and continue straight on the same road (Rue Aristide Briand). At the roundabout, go straight ahead and then take the first exit on the right at the second roundabout. Park in the car park a few metres further on.

(S/E) When you leave the car park, turn left along Rue des Soupirs for about 50 metres.
Climb the stairs on the left, keep left at the first intersection, then take Chemin des Gardes a little further on the right. At the top of the stairs, the path becomes a balcony, offering a beautiful view of the city.
Continue straight ahead along a path that leads to Rue des Corvées. Turn left and walk about 80 metres up the street, then turn right onto Chemin du Mont Carmel towards Quarante Semaine, continuing in this direction at each intersection. Turn right at the end of the path to reach Rue des Soupirs.
(1) Turn left, then left again onto Rue de la Quarante Semaine. Stay on the same road until you reach Chemin de la Fontaine de Guéry. This path is located just before SpinaParc (there is a sign pointing to the left).
(2) Turn left to follow this path towards the entrance to the Épinal National Forest. Shortly afterwards, pass under a bridge. After a few hundred metres, you will arrive at the Fontaine Guéry.
(3) Turn right onto a path that winds its way along the foot of overhanging rocks. Climb the hillside to reach the ridge near a platform with a 100-metre-high antenna. At the top of the plateau, turn left to reach a memorial erected in memory of the resistance fighters who were shot in 1944.
(4) Continue on the left immediately after the memorial. Walk through a varied forest of beech, oak, fir, spruce and Scots pine trees. Follow the forest path to its end at the junction with a stone path.
(5) Take this path on the left. Atthe first junction, continue straight ahead; the path heads north. Leave it after about 600 metres and take the first path marked Anneau Vert on the left. Keep to the right at each junction until you approach SpinaParc.
(6) Back at SpinaParc, cross the gravel path and turn right onto a path running alongside the Ruisseau de la Vierge stream. After the pumping station, turn left onto a wide path and exit the forest at the junction with a small road. You can make a detour of about 100 metres to the left off the route to see the Croix des Pestiférés(Plague Cross).
(7) Take the road on the right, keeping left at the next junction. Pass the hamlet of Pré Serpent. Turn right at a cross and follow the path to the next wood at a fork in the road.
(8) Leave the Pré Serpent path and take the path on the left across the fields. Then keep to the right until you reach the next road, follow it for a few dozen metres, until just before the roundabout.
(9) Leave Rue de Laufromont by going up the steps on the left, which lead to a path and then Rue du Point de Vue, which you should take on the right. At the next intersection, keep left and then stay right at the next one.
(10) After a wide right-hand bend, turn completely left near an old farmhouse to join Ruelle du Coteau, which leads back to the car park (S/E).
