Park in the car park at the end of Étang Mansuy via the D41.
(S/E) Head towards Étang de la Comtesse, a small path to the left of the barrier, marked by two parallel yellow lines.
(1) After 500 metres of trail covered with roots, you will arrive at the Étang de la Comtesse dam. Take the path to the right of the pond marked with a red disc/blue easel.
(2) Cross the wooden footbridge over the pond's bog (be careful, the ground is slippery when wet) and, on the other side of the bank, turn right onto the forest path. Continue along this same path, which climbs slightly, following the red disc markings for 1.5 km.
(3) At the intersection with the first forest path, continue straight ahead for 200 metres to reach a small road running alongside a cattle park.
Turn left, then at the three-way junction immediately after, take the right-hand path towards Forêt Domaniale du Ban d'Uxegney for 300 metres, ignoring the first red disc signposted path.
(4) Pass the sign and take the second path on the right marked with a blue sign. Descend slightly for 500 metres to reach a steep path on your left. Follow it and turn right at the top.
(5) After 500 metres on this path, you will see the ruins of the Olima powder magazine on your right below.
(6) You will arrive at the top of the Olima Rocks and the tunnel. Continue down the forest road below, turn right and reach the tunnel entrance.
Go through the tunnel (which can be used as shelter in bad weather).
(7) 200 metres further on, pass the ruins of the powder magazine on your right. Take the path opposite the powder magazine, which descends and leads to another forest path further down. Then take a sharp left turn.
(8) At the crossroads of several forest roads, on your right, there is a rock that can be used as shelter in case of bad weather. Otherwise, continue straight ahead for 300 metres towards the foot of the Roches d'Olima, and take a small wooden bridge on your right.
(9) Follow the water channel to the Notre-Dame des Trois Vallées sign.
(10) Take the path on the right that passes in front of the Virgin Mary statue and continue for 400 metres before turning right. Continue climbing until you reach the forest road 300 metres higher up. At the crossroads, turn left towards the Marulaz Forest Road barrier.
(11) Turn onto the road on the right and continue along this road until you reach a crossroads with a house opposite you at a place called La Basse Henri.
(12) Take the small path on the right marked with a red disc and descend along the small stream (caution: slippery in bad weather) to reach the forest path below. Turn left and climb back up towards the small hamlet of Olima (or rather farm). After 1 km, you will reach a road which you cross to take the red marked path opposite.
Follow this path, which crosses a forest road, to reach the Étang de la Comtesse dyke.
On the left, take the path leading back to the car park at the start, marked with parallel yellow lines (S/E).
