Dinant walks
Fairytale castle and hermitage against a backdrop of Lesse and Romans
Starting from the beautiful Château de Vêves, set off to explore the meanders of the Lesse and visit the magnificent villages of Furfooz and Celles (selected as among the most beautiful villages in Wallonia).
Tour of the four villages
A hike in the Condroz region, starting from the small village of Foy-Notre-Dame on a rolling plateau with pleasant trails, including the Chemin des Pèlerins with its shrines.
Long circular loop of the Lesse ladders
Starting from Gendron-Celles station, this is a beautiful hike, mostly along the water's edge, mainly on paths and trails, with a few sections on roads when crossing villages.
On the first part, mainly between points (3) and (4), ladders and steps allow you to stay as close as possible to the Lesse, and the second part, between points (4) and (10), offers a different way to discover the Lesse, which has remained very wild, and breathtaking views.
This route is a combination of various local routes andGR® trails that run along the lower Lesse.
The circular can easily be split up to reduce the distance or avoid certain difficulties; see the practical information.
An excellent walk to prepare for more technical hikes.
Please note: with regard to accessibility, please read the practical information carefully before setting off.

Around Leffe Abbey
Who doesn't know the Belgian beer called 'Leffe'?
This walk will introduce you not to this excellent range of Belgian beers, but to the wooded and rural surroundings of the abbey on the banks of the Meuse, where it was originally brewed.
On the heights of Bouvignes and Dinant
A circular loop to discover Bouvignes and Dinant from above. The highly recommended combination with the route called "From Dinant to the Moniat rocks" allows you to fully discover this area of the Dinant region. Tour along the rocks of the Meuse
A very beautiful tour along narrow paths, with beautiful views, steep slopes, high cliffs and lots of beautiful nature. Sturdy shoes are required, as well as a camera, as there are many photo opportunities. Have fun :)
A short trip to Hour
While Houyet and the surrounding area are well known for the Lesse and kayaking (in season) on this iconic Walloon river, the charm of the surrounding countryside and forests also make it an excellent place for hiking. This circular route takes you around Hour, one of the villages in the area, and offers beautiful panoramic views of the entire region from the heights.
Circular around the Bocq
Numerous quarries have been or are still being exploited in the Bocq valley between Spontin (upstream) and Yvoir (downstream), and a railway line was built there connecting Yvoir to Ciney - via a few bridges and tunnels - to facilitate the transport of production. The line, which has been officially decommissioned, is operated between Évrehailles-Bauche and Ciney by the non-profit organisation Chemin de Fer du Bocq, which offers various activities, including, of course, trips in historic railcars and/or passenger carriages pulled by a steam locomotive. In short, the section between Bauche and Spontin has been reoriented towards tourism, and there are numerous trails and paths for exploring this beautiful region on foot. This walk is an invitation to explore, starting from Purnode.
Hike without description to be followed with the Visorando app.
Circular route around Warnant
This circular route follows the old railway line that once linked Dinant to Tamines via Fosses-la-Ville, or in other words, the Meuse to the Sambre via the Molignée Valley and its abbeys.
The Meuse plateau via Anhée, Warnant and Haut-le-Wastia
A very varied route passing through woods, fields and typical villages on the Meuse plateau above Anhée. Beautiful views of the undulating plateau, villages and rocks along the banks of the Meuse. The route takes in several beautiful little paths.
Around Lissoir
A hike with a slight elevation gain, mostly on passable paths. The route is perfectly feasible with children, but not with pushchairs.
Only the first 800 metres are on the road, after which there are only paths reserved for pedestrians, cyclists and possibly horse riders.
Spontin and the Bocq Valley
This walk takes place in the Bocq valley between Spontin and Purnode. It takes you through woods and countryside to the villages of Durnal and Dorinne. Views of the river, the forest and the hills, now increasingly 'decorated' with wind turbines.
Circular through the woods and along the Bocq river from Bordon.
Parking at the start. Descent towards Bauche in the shade. At Bauche, follow Chansin then climb back up towards Durnal at the crossroads near the barriers. The climb is long but the surface is more pleasant and flatter than on the descent.
A corner of Provence Mosane at the bend in Yvoir
A walk around Yvoir that will take you through the Champalle nature reserve and the village of Evrehailles.
The walk can be physically demanding on three sections with significant slopes requiring some physical effort.
