Corte walks

The Tavignano Valley is one of Corsica's most beautiful mountain valleys. It offers a deep, rocky gorge with numerous pools, and above all, the valley is a hiker's kingdom. From Corte, only a well-preserved old mule track leads into the wild Tavignano Gorge. At the Passerelle di u Russulinu, you'll find pools in the torrent, guaranteed to cool you down in hot weather like this year (2017).

The Arche de Corte or Arche de Padule (referring to the sheepfolds located higher up) or Arcu di Scandulaghiu (in Corsican) is a granite sculpture located at an altitude of 1,500 metres, overlooking the Tavignano valley. The Arche is located between the citadel of Corte and the Calacuccia dam.

First stage of the hike from Corte to the sea, at Marine de Porto. This first day is a steady climb up to the Refuge de A Sega.

This hike is a variation (in terms of the route and starting point) of the Mare à Mare Nord. We set off from Corte, a very pretty town, and arrived at the Gulf of Porto. We stopped at the Refuge de Sega, the Gite d'Albertacce, the Col de Vergio (where we stayed for two days to explore Lake Nino) and Evisa before arriving in Porto.

An accessible and refreshing hike in the heart of the Restonica Gorges. The trail, almost entirely shaded, immerses you in a magnificent setting: cliffs, forests and spectacular panoramas follow one another along the way. And to top off the experience, natural pools ideal for a refreshing swim await you.

This is a very beautiful hike that allows you to discover the two lakes of Melo and Capitello with a view of the Brèche de Capitello. The view from the breach allows you to discover both sides of the massif. 20/05/2024: The Restonica Valley is no longer accessible by car! Second day of the hike between Corte and Porto. The trail begins by climbing up to Bocca Arinella, where we discover our destination: after Lake Calacuccia, the village of Albertacce.

This trail will take you through time in search of what life was like a few decades ago in this wonderful part of Corsica. The scenery is beautiful and the course is very pleasant...

From the Vecchio valley, the climb to Monte Rotondo (2,622 m), Corsica's second highest peak, offers a 1,600 m elevation gain in a spectacular setting. The trail starts under the Laricio pines, then climbs towards Bocca Tribali (1,590 m), revealing ridges and valleys. Beyond, Lavu Bellebone, a small glacial lake nestled in a mineral cirque, invites you to take a contemplative break. The rest of the climb is steeper, on rocky terrain where you may find yourself out of breath. At the summit, the 360° view takes in the gulfs, peaks and wild soul of Corsica, before you return to the valley.

This third stage takes us to the Col de Vergio, the highest point of the day, which marks the start of the descent to Porto. We will pass by the beautiful Radule waterfall and its pools, which are perfect for swimming.

Loop starting from the Genoese bridge at Albertacce, first following the Viru, a tributary of the Golo, to the Moulin de Muricciolu, then a pretty balcony path above the Golo to the footbridge over the Golo.

A beautiful, easy hike along theGR®20. After the Bergeries de Tolla, the 500-metre-long granite slab at an altitude of around 1,100 metres is a wonderful place for a picnic and a nap. There are trees for shade. You need to walk about 50 metres to the left (uphill) ofthe GR®20to see the slab and the waterfalls. The "hanging gardens" in the middle of the waterfalls are truly beautiful.

From the church square, set off to explore the wild world of the Corsican maquis. You will walk along pastoral paths where you may encounter herds of goats and sheep, on the ridge separating the Tavignanu and Tagnone valleys. You will enjoy exceptional views of the surrounding mountain ranges and the island of Monte Cristo.

Starting from the square in front of the church in Vezzani, set off to explore the wild world of the Corsican maquis and the beautiful Laricio pine forest of Rospa Sorba. The route offers magnificent views of the east coast of eastern Corsica and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago, as well as breathtaking views of Corsica's main mountain ranges from Punta Tana and Punta Cali, located near the route.

This hike, starting from the beautiful village of Vezzani, will allow you to discover the beauty and diversity of the landscapes in a green setting. You will pass through chestnut groves and a magnificent Lariccio pine forest. You will enjoy magnificent views that will take your breath away.

Waterfall hikes in a magical mountain setting. This beautiful and varied hike through the Manganello Valley is suitable for all.

A beautiful little circular walk from the outskirts of Castineta (well worth a visit!). Discover old hamlets and paths between Castineta and Morosaglia. These paths were widely used before the road to Castineta was built.

Starting from Col du Pratu (Bocca di u Pratu), this hike takes you to the summit of Castagniccia: Monte San Petrone. There is a magnificent beech forest along the entire route and a superb panorama at the summit.
