Cognocoli-Monticchi walks

A pleasant short hike through the maquis to the Frassu Tower, which offers a beautiful view of the Gulf of Ajaccio, Porticcio and the Capitello Tower. At the gateway to Alta Rocca, this moderately difficult hike allows you to enjoy the exquisite scents of the maquis in spring. The route begins with a pleasant woodland trail before reaching the ridge, which offers views of the Taravo valley and the Rizzanèze valley. From San Petru, there is a magnificent panoramic view of the Gulf of Valinco (Propriano) as far as the Gulf of Ajaccio. On the way back, the descent is opposite the Aiguilles de Bavella.

Short walk from the car park opposite the prison to the dam reservoir. From here, there is a beautiful view of the valley. In the lake, you will see fish, lots of dragonflies and, perhaps, the two frogs.

A pleasant walk along the coast with the option of stopping at a beach and exploring a Genoese tower.

From Porto Pollo, a picturesque trail through the scrubland leads to the Genoese tower of Capanella, where free access to the top offers a magnificent view of the pretty bay of Cupabia, Punta and the cove of Capanella.

This is a great hike, best done in the morning. Superb views of the Prunelli and Gravone valleys. No difficulties, very well marked route in yellow.

On the outskirts of Ajaccio, an easy trail through the scrubland overlooking the gulf.

A beautiful hike from the hamlet of Cascionu leads through the maquis to the Genoese tower of Capu di Muru, from the top of which there is a magnificent view of the Anse du Cacao and the Gulf of Ajaccio. The westernmost point of Capu di Muru and its lighthouse offer a superb spectacle of chaotic rock formations that give free rein to the imagination. The Da Madonella chapel is also located at this extreme point. The return trip along the coast offers views of Cala d'Orzu.

A short walk to enjoy with the family early in the morning, offering magnificent views of Ajaccio Bay and the Gulf of Lava.

From Campomoro to Senetosa.

Starting from Campomoro, this circular hike is not difficult. Running along the coast, rocky landscapes give way to coves and inlets. At Cala d'Aguglia (the southernmost point of the route), where calm reigns, it is worth stopping to admire this cove that stretches inland and enjoy its beautiful beach. The return journey takes you inland through the scrubland with beautiful views of the coast and finally the Gulf of Propriano.
