Route on the Greenway and at Calvaire.
Chalabre: Greenway and Montbel Lake
This moderately difficult route starts at the old Chalabre railway station on the line that used to connect Mirepoix to Lavelanet, now a greenway. It follows the Hers river, which feeds the Lac de Montbel, crossing two dams before returning to the old Chalabre station after passing through some woodland. It offers views of the Pyrenees and the Lac de Montbel.

Circular south of Lake Montbel starting from La Bastide-sur-l'Hers
Starting from La Bastide-sur-l'Hers, via Sainte-Colombe-sur-l'Hers and the hamlet of Mireval, this circular offers beautiful views from the ridge:- to the north over Lake Montbel,- to the south over the Tabe Massif with the peaks of Soularac and Saint-Barthélémy, as well as Mont Fourcat.
Between crests and rivers, a circular in Plantaurel

Loop via Ivry, La Bastide-sur-l'Hers and Laroque-d'Olmes from Dreuilhe
A pleasant, easy loop with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and the Tabe massif: Pic du Soularac, Pic de Saint-Barthélémy, Pic de Girabal, Pic Galinat, Pic du Han and Mont Fourcat.
The Croix de Millet route
Circular starting from Fontestorbes, passing through Trou du Corbeau and Croix de Millet. Shady in midsummer, which is pleasant.
Loop between Escueillens-et-Saint-Just-de-Bélengard and Bellegarde-du-Razès
Route proposed during Rando Razès 2025 (short loop). Easy, family-friendly circuit completed with Joëlette wheelchairs during the event. The only "difficulty" is the section along the road at points (8) and (9).
The Green Labyrinth and the Nébias Nature Trail
An unmissable hike in the Aude region, accessible to all, starting from Nébias and taking you to discover the enigmatic Green Labyrinth.
Circular via the Croix de Morenci at the foot of Montségur.
Hike starting from Lavelanet with a very steep climb through the woods, followed by magnificent panoramic views of Montségur Castle, to reach the Croix de Morenci and its charming metal origami bison sculptures. Beautiful view of Mont Fourcat as well.
Cartiès (Dun) circular - St-Julien - Troye - Limbrassac
A nature route! A path through valleys and ridges with magnificent views of the Monts d'Olmes. Originally route no. 14 in the Pays de Mirepoix, the signposting is now quite old.
The Barrenc de Picaussel chasm from Belvis
This easy hike takes you through the woods above Belvis, alternating between footpaths and forest roads. There are some beautiful views of the region, as well as the Barrenc de Picaussel chasm. The chasm, located at the edge of the path, is very well secured (barriers and gates prevent accidents).
Péreille d'en Haut
A family-friendly route that is not too long but has a slight incline and, above all, a beautiful view of the Tabe massif, Saint-Barthélémy and Mont Fourcat. The path continues a little further but is a dead end above the cliffs of the Gorges de Péreille. The return journey can be made via a slightly sloping trail, then a path that can be muddy after rain.
Hounoux ridge trail
On the ridge line that marks the watershed between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, there is a fascinating interpretive trail on the geology and formation of these rolling landscapes of Razès, Lauragais and the foothills of the Pyrenees.

La Croix de Terride and Marty from Mirepoix
This family hike will allow you to discover the different landscapes of Mirepoix from two viewpoints: the Croix de Terride with a partial view of Mirepoix but with an orientation table, and before Montbruguet, with a full view. The trail is varied, sometimes open, sometimes in the woods, but always pleasant.
The Belvédère du Diable and the Chalet de Carach from Quillan
A challenging hike if you choose the circular Belvédère du Diable with its high, airy viewpoint! The route takes you through forests, along tracks and paths, with the amazing Chalet de Carach, the villages of Belvianes and Cavirac to discover, and a return trip along the Aude river: magnificent!
