Description of the walk

Park in the car park at the entrance to Roumengoux.

(Out and back) From the car park, head left up into the village. Stay on the road, walk past the church and you’ll reach an orientation table offering a magnificent view of the Tabe massif and Lagarde Castle.
Continue westwards along the road, past a picnic area, and ignore the sign for this route indicating you should turn right.

(1) Carry on straight ahead; the road turns into a dirt track. At the next junction, turn left and you’ll reach the junction at the Fontaine de Bourrastel. Turn left for about 100 metres to explore this fountain.

(2) Retrace your steps and follow the signs for “Les Séniès” heading north. Walk straight through the hamlet. Ignore the first sign pointing to a fountain on the left (there is, in fact, no fountain in sight and the path is completely overgrown) and you’ll come to a junction with a signpost.

Stunning views of Saint Barthélémy and Lagarde Castle. Roumengoux is a lovely village, with parking available at the entrance.
