Buchelay walks

This undulating walk, near Mantes-la-Jolie, will allow you to discover a lovely little wood, enjoy some beautiful views and stroll through Jouy-Mauvoisin.

Through the fields and villages of the Mantois region and the eastern part of the Rosny Forest, this route takes you to discover ruins surprisingly located in the middle of the forest and a picturesque oak tree. The churches of Jouy-Mauvoisin and Petit Perdreauville, a manor house, a few beautiful farmhouses and a small heritage site linked to water complete the picture.

During this walk, you’ll discover the charming Parc de la Vallée, cross the Bois des Enfers, enjoy beautiful views and spend a good part of the walk along the River Vaucouleurs.

Sixth stage of the Grand Tour de l'Île-de-France on the GR® 11, linking Mantes-Station railway station in the Yvelines to the village of Genainville in the Val d'Oise, in the heart of the French Vexin. This stage is the first part of a two-day route, the aim of which is to connect Mantes-Station railway station to Chars railway station, further north-east in the Val d'Oise.The stage begins in Mantes-la-Jolie in the Seine valley and heads north through the south-western part of the Vexin Français Regional Nature Park, quickly passing from one of the lowest points in the region (crossing the Seine, at ~18 m) to one of the highest points (the beech forest at Villiers-en-Arthies, at 205 m).The French Vexin, with its unspoilt agricultural and wooded landscapes, is a magnificent region where it is very pleasant to hike.

A hilly route through the forest and its edges, with a viewpoint over the Seine and memories of Henry IV and Sully.

A walk from station to station through the Rosny-sur-Seine Regional Forest, the Bois Boutilliers, the Vallée des Prés and the Houssaye, during which you’ll also discover some beautiful views and heritage sites.

This hike is for you if you are looking for peaceful walks in the countryside and forest, as well as the chance to discover some panoramic views.

This hike will take you from the islands of Mantes-la-Jolie to Follainville-Dennemont via Limay (gateway town to the French Vexin Regional Nature Park). You will walk along the Seine and then through woods and fields. You will discover beautiful views, particularly of Mantes and its collegiate church. 

This urban walk will take you on a journey through the history of Mantes-la-Jolie, notably its magnificent Notre-Dame Collegiate Church. You will follow the banks of the Seine on your return journey.

A mainly forest route west of Mantes-la-Jolie. Along the way, there are several remarkable trees and a few limestone grasslands, which constitute a unique natural heritage as well as a great opportunity to take a break.

During your walk, you will follow the Seine and one of its branches, as well as waterways that are home to various species of birds. A short tour of the village of Guernes is also planned.

A route to explore the Sandrancourt ponds, the Flicourt nature reserve and the banks of the Seine

This walk through various parts of the Rosny Regional Forest will take you to the Châtillon viewpoint, where you can discover a kiosk dating from the 1900 World’s Fair.You’ll discover some lovely views over the Mantois region, but above all you’ll appreciate this rich natural environment.

On the agenda for this hike: two pretty little villages, local heritage, a walk through the woods and along the Vaucouleurs and Morand rivers.

Setting off from the small village of Breuil-Bois-Robert towards Auffreville-Brasseuil, Soindres, Vert and Villette, you will follow the Vaucouleurs and cross the Morand. This walk through fields and valleys will also allow you to enjoy some beautiful panoramic views.
