The start is in the car park near the École Maternelle les Alliers de Chavannes, Rue des Soupirs.
(S/E) Leave the car park and head towards Rue du 8 Mai 1945. Walk a few metres to the left and cross at the pedestrian crossing. Take the path opposite, which runs alongside the Vaucouleurs on your left, until you reach the entrance to the Parc de la Vallée on the left. Once inside, head to the right and take the path leading to a small bridge. Cross it.
(1) At a T-junction, turn right, cross another small bridge and immediately turn left. At the end of the path, go down a few steps, pass through a gate next to a building and continue left, still following the Vaucouleurs.
(2) In front of the entrance to the La Ferme des Pierres building, turn right, keeping the Vaucouleurs on your right. A little further on, climb a small flight of steps, cross Avenue Paul Eluard and continue to the right on thePR®. Ignore the side paths until you reach, further on, a flight of steps which you should climb. At a T-junction, turn right and cross a footbridge over the D983. Then head downhill to the right following the PR®.
(3) At a T-junction, turn left onto thePR®. Ignore the paths branching off to the left and, at a T-junction, head right to cross a bridge.
(4) Turn left into Impasse des Gâtines, continue along Chemin des Confidences and cross a small bridge. Walk past the school and turn right into Rue des Plantes aux Moines. Pass by the cemetery.
(5) After about 150 metres, turn right onto a grassy path that leads downhill (yellow marker). At the bottom, cross a road and take Rue des Fermes, then Rue des Gains and the path that continues from it. Continue along a tarmac path and ignore a turn-off to the left.
(6) At a fork, turn right onto Rue du Moulin and continue to the church. Cross the Grande Rue, turn right and ignore two turn-offs on the left.
(7) Turn left onto Rue des Groux (red and white markings), which climbs steeply. Continue straight on along theGR® 11, ignoring theGR® 26 branching off to the left at a crossroads. Continue for approximately 350 m.
(8) Leave theGR® and turn left onto a path for about 450 m, following a field and then a wood on your right.
(9) Just before reaching another field, turn right into the woodland and immediately head right onto a path that winds through the trees. A little further on, ignore a small track that descends to the left. At a fork, turn right and do the same at the next one. Immediately afterwards, leave the woodland and pass under some high-voltage power lines. Enter the woodland again and further on, at a fork, continue to the right.
(10) Join theGR®11and turn left onto Rue des Orgemonts. Pass the old Orgemonts quarry on your right and continue to the end of the street, ignoring the side streets. Turn right into Rue Guillet.
(11) After No. 26, turn left into Rue de l’Église. Then turn left in front of the church to reach Place de l’Église. Head right to pass to the left of the fountain and cross Route de Houdan at No. 125. Go down the steps opposite and continue across a footbridge.
(12) At the bottom of the footbridge, turn left, keeping the Vaucouleurs on your left, until you reach Rue du Parc after passing under an old wash house. Turn right for a few metres and take the path on the left which continues to run alongside the Vaucouleurs. Climb a few steps and continue to the right along Rue du 8 Mai 1945 until you reach a pedestrian crossing. Cross the road and continue along Rue des Soupirs to return to the starting point (S/E).
