Blockley walks

A good minor road walk through the picturesque villages of Aston Magna, Draycott and Paxford in the north the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. Suggested start is in Aston Magna GL56 9RG parking carefully not to obstruct driveways.

A beautiful circular Cotswold walk with a few surprises.

Hidden Gem: A circular walk from a lovely village pub. The walk takes in the lovely rolling Cotswold fields, before a view of Foxcote Manor and a walk along the top of the Cotswold Escarpment, taking in breathtaking views North out as far as Birmingham and Coventry. Drop down to the lovely National Trust property at Hidcote for tea and cake, before a return through fields and hamlets to sit by the pub fire with a well earned pint.

Park near the Catholic church in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire [GL55 6DZ] and enjoy this lovely circular walk climbing Dovers Hill and descending north with open breathtaking views, also in woods, fields, and paths.

This delightful walk, on road and field paths, taking in the three villages of Todenham, Lower Leamington and Aston Magna, which lie North West of Morton in the Marsh and South West of Shipston, has a lot of interest to see.

Lovely walk in north Gloustershire from Hidcote Manor via Kiftscote Gardens, then Monacks Way, past Mickleton Hill Farm and returning via Diamond Way through Hidcote Boyce and back to Hidcote Manor. Occasionally, roe deer can be seen.

Walk in the rolling hills of South Warwickshire, starting in Dalingscott. A small amount of minor road, then tracks and footpaths to reach Compton Scorpion Manor. More field path from the highest point down to Stretton on Fosse. There is interesting history of this village by the Roman Fosse Way. Returning via field paths and minor roads to Darlingscott. The walk can start close to Way Mark 7, the pub The Plough good eating place.

Excellent walk in South Warwickshire, spectacular views starting and finishing at The Red Lion in Ilmington.

This pretty long circular walk (but not very hard!) from Broadway uses two famous trails, Donnington and Cotswold Ways letting you discover gorgeous Cotswold villages, churches, viewpoints and monuments.

Broadway and its highest tower castle in the Cotswolds is ideally located for exploring this hilly region of the English countryside and a part of the Cotswold Way (National Trail 164km running north-to-south). In good weather, the top of Broadway Tower offers a 360° view, especially of the Welsh landscape to the west.

Pleasant walk in Warwickshire's rolling hills, taking in the three villages of Halford, Idlicote and Fulready. Opportunity to see varied wildlife, and between Halford and Idlicote, you may see the camels.

This easy but quite long circular walk from Bourton-on-the-Water uses a peaceful section of Windrush Way along the river before you follow a section of Warden's Way visiting typical Cotswold villages including Nauton, Upper Slaughter, Lower Slaughter and Bourton-on-the-Water as well!
