This trail is certainly the best known. Gorges du Loup, Perekop, Labyrinthe, Hohlay. We will make a small variation by doing it in a figure of 8 to balance out the discoveries.

Circular in Mullerthal
This hike is rated as very difficult if done in a single day, but it is possible to complete it in two or three days with bivouacking. It is advisable to start near Consdorf and stop before Lauterborn to sleep; there are some beautiful spots.
Around Beaufort
Hike starting from the ruins of the medieval castle of Beaufort and heading into the forest with rock formations, viewpoints and streams along the way.
Gonderange - Bourglinster
2nd stage of Extra Tour D of Mullerthal. You will mainly walk on wide paths, notably at the “Gatter”, the 500ha private forest of the Grand Ducal family accessible to the public since 2009. Bourglinster Castle will be your final point.

The Sûre valley between Michelau and Erpeldange
Starting from Michelau station (free parking, free access by train or bus from anywhere in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg), the walk heads south, crosses the Sûre (a river similar to the Ourthe and Semois in Belgium) and climbs up the right bank, following its course along a forest path, a small country road and a slightly steep trail.
Éislek circular pad starting from Hoscheid
This path winds through the Schlindertal valley. A slight detour will take you to its memorial. The isolated Saint-Michel chapel is a remnant of an ancient village that is now uninhabited. The highlight of the hike is the Molberlee, an exposed slate ridge offering spectacular views of the valley.
Stroll through Luxembourg's old town
Set off to discover Luxembourg, its old town, its cobbled paths high up for changing panoramic views, cross a park surrounded by Vauban fortifications. Climb to the top of the Rock Bock and descend towards the old town.
Wiltz Castle and its surroundings

You can shorten the walk by continuing from (6) to Drauffelt station (6 km in total) and returning by train (free on the GDL).
The Saar River bend from Orscholz
This beautiful hike takes you on a journey of discovery along a magnificent bend in the Saar River, starting from the Cloef Atrium car park in Orsholz (part of the municipality of Mettlach). The route gradually descends to the viewpoint and then to the riverbank before climbing back up to the starting point, all within a splendid forest setting.
Circular Sarre from Orscholz
Circular Sarre: it goes up and down. A short boat trip across the Sarre during the hike for a few euros. A magnificent spot, you can grab a drink at a bar by the water and then set off again. Really very nice.
Three borders circuit in Ouren
A long walk in the heart of the Eifel countryside, passing through three European countries: Belgium, Germany and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. You will discover the memorial dedicated to the founding of the Europe of Six.In addition to the landscapes of the Our valley and some of its tributaries, you will discover the incomparable Welchenhausen museum and its "sculpture trail".
The Saar Loop (Germany)

A beautiful circular starting from the village of Contz-les-Bains to the summit of Stromberg, which overlooks the Moselle and faces Sierck and its medieval castle.
Dream loop tour – Wehinger Viezpfad
The heights of the Saargau above Wehingen can be reached via the slopes of the Kewelsberg through a sea of green limestone. After the descent, there are numerous old orchards, unspoilt stream valleys with clear, bubbling streams and sunken paths in extensive wooded areas.
Sierk-les-Bains and Schengen, land of the Three Borders
A circular walk in the Three Borders region and the Moselle wine country.
The route runs alongside the Moselle before crossing it and climbing up into the woods above Schengen (Luxembourg). Beautiful views of the valley, vineyards and villages of Perl (Germany), Apach and Sierk.
The Luxembourg Ardennes between Troisvierges and Drauffelt
Set off to explore the north of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and, in particular, Clervaux Abbey.
Please note: this hike is not circular and is based on the concept of walks from station to station. We chose to leave our vehicle at the free P+R car park at Drauffelt station, from where the train takes hikers to Troisvierges free of charge (1 train per hour on track 1).
Quartzite Trail
(!) Please note that, following various reports, it appears that this hike is temporarily unavailable due to:
- works in the town of Sierck,
- temporary closure of the return route due to a fungus attacking the trees.
An update will be published once the path is accessible again.
This hike offers magnificent views of the Moselle valley, the Stromberg and Sierck Castle.
Terres Rouges between Esch-sur-Alzette and Kayl
This magnificent walk takes you on a journey of discovery through the former mining sites operated by the A.R.B.E.D between Esch-sur-Alzette, Schifflange and Kayl. It is offered by the CFL (Luxembourg's railway company) as part of its Hike & Rail range of hiking trails from station to station and has been slightly modified by us at the start and finish.
The Mines in Differdange
The mines, the mines of yesterday, the iron mines... this is the main theme of this hike.Fond-de-Gras is the most informative site on this subject: it was the station where narrow-gauge trains converged to unload iron ore into standard-gauge wagons bound for the steelworks and blast furnaces of Pétange, Differdange and others in Belgium and Germany.
A few markers on the Ourthe side
You will have covered almost 18 kilometres and will see two other very different types of boundary markers: two stone markers marking the former Belgian-Prussian border and two metal markers, still in use today, between Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.The Ourthe river is not very visible, but you will be riding alongside a beautiful nature reserve along its tributary at the end of the route, called Fooschtbaach in the Grand Duchy and Pihon in Belgium.
Nature getaway in Sterpigny
Crossed by the Ourthe Orientale, Gouvy boasts magnificent landscapes to be discovered along the water, countryside and forests alternating between deciduous and coniferous trees. In autumn, it is of course the deciduous trees that make the biggest impression!
