The Rhône islands at Rochemaure
This short hike along the banks of the Rhône is suitable for families. You will be able to observe many birds along the way.
The Pic de Chenavari starting from Rochemaure
Lovely view of the 11th and 12th century medieval castle of Rochemaure. Passage via the Himalayan footbridge over the Rhône. Beautiful 360° view at Pic de Chenavari, over the Vercors mountains, the Rhône valley and the Coiron plateau.

Suggested walk through the old village of Rochemaure, including a return trip to the footbridge.
The Pic de Chenavari
This hike will allow you to discover wonderful landscapes throughout the hike. You will see the Château de Rochemaure and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Rhône valley.

Flora at the start of Rochemaure
As you climb up to the ridges, this hike offers magnificent views of the Rhône Valley. You will cross the Berg National Forest on a path lined with cedar trees.
The Savasse mountain
This hike allows us to visit the old village of Savasse, nestled against the mountain, with its beautiful, well-renovated village houses. A climb through the boxwood trees leads to the telephone relay station with a 360° panorama: view of the Rhône valley, the plains of Montélimar and Valence, and the Saôu forest. The return trip is through the woods, with some very fragrant lavender fields in June.
The Savasse Panorama
This hike starts in the old village of Savasse and follows a mountain ridge to the highest point in the village: the relay belvedere, which offers a 360° view of the surrounding area.
Le Teil greenway
From the car park behind the post office in Le Teil, we set off towards the Greenway in the direction of Aubenas, covering part of the route through bridges and tunnels before returning by the same route.
Greenway from Le Teil to Saint-Pons
Greenway inaugurated in December 2025, for the section from Le Teil to Saint-Pons. Bring lighting (headlamp or other) to cross four tunnels, one of which is 900 m long. This Greenway is to be extended soon. The hike is classified as difficult because of its length.
Greenway from Le Teil to Alba
The greenway was inaugurated in December 2025, for the section from Le Teil to the old Alba-la-Romaine railway station, at least supposedly. Bring a light ( headlamp or other) to go through three tunnels, one of which is 900 m long.
