A very pleasant circular with autumn colours. Only to be attempted in good weather. Splendid 360° view from the Pic d'Escalette over the surrounding peaks. Feasible in winter with good snow conditions but classified as difficult with frozen ground.

A beautiful site in summer, with its majestic waterfall. Please note that it is very busy in summer.In winter, you will appreciate the magnificent, peaceful landscape with the ice waterfalls at the bottom of the cirque.This circuit can be done very easily at any time of year:- in 3 hours in summer, including breaks and lunch.- but in 3 to 4 hours in winter.

This family hike can be done in summer but also in winter with snowshoes. There are no difficulties on this route. The hike takes place in shaded undergrowth along a track and then a well-marked path with a steady gradient. Once you reach the summit, you will find a magnificent orientation table and an extraordinary 360° panorama overlooking the Comminges and Barousse mountains and the Tarbes plain.

A circular loop around Lac d’Aygue Rouye with a magnificent view of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre.A shepherd’s shelter, skilfully renovated using flat stones, welcomes you at the lakeside.The grassy ledges surrounding the lake are perfect for a quick nap.You may be lucky enough to spot some chamois or a few deer.

A lovely hike done clockwise for a gradual and gentler climb. With two options available, this hike can be adapted to suit different levels. The aim is to meet up at the Collantigue hut to share a meal and a rest.

This magnificent walk above Baren allows you to discover the mountain pastures, deciduous forests and a spectacular panorama of the legendary 3,000-metre peaks of the Central Pyrenees: Anéto, Maladeta, Maupas, Crabioules, Perdiguère, Posets, Quayrat, Lézat, Gougs Blancs, Spijeoles, Schrader... The Cabane de la Plagnette and its surroundings, a "true paradise for hikers", provide a pleasant approach for climbing Burat and the border peaks.

A circular route through the woods of Odos. Of the 11.5 km of this route, only 2.5 km are on roads. You will set off from the Esplanade du Château car park in Odos. You will pass successively through Le Bouscarou, Château de la Passade, Le Turon du Balabay, Les Vignettes, and the ridge path above Hibarette. The return descent takes you through Biouès, La Passade, the path from Odos to Louey and the Beyrède path. A final short stretch of road before arriving back at the château. A pleasant route to tackle by Nordic walking in 2½ hours for the fitter or by mountain bike in 1½ hours.

Another way to climb the Casque du Lhéris is via a circular loop that is mostly shaded by beech trees. From Banios, heading towards Asque, the start is 9 km away. Follow the signs for the cheese dairy along the D384 for 2.5 km, then continue right, still heading south, along the ridge road (Cami deth Bernet) to the Plate Forme car park at an altitude of 918 m, having passed a road on the left (elevation 751 m). The route takes 4 hours to complete at a walking pace, plus an extra hour for short stops and a recommended picnic lunch at Puits d'Aris on the descent after the summit. This hike should not be attempted in snowy or foggy conditions. The GPX track is necessary between (4) and (8), and mandatory from (5) to (7).

Starting from Ouzous, this hike takes you along the discovery trail, around Argelès-Gazost and above the animal park. From there, a 500 m climb takes you to Mont de Gez via the south-southwest. The return route passes through Gez and the Bourdalat equestrian centre before reaching the Ouzous car park. This shaded route mainly follows tracks and paths.

A very beautiful hike from the Col des Ares. The route remains shaded all the way to the Cabane du Pic du Gar. Classified as a difficult hike due to the elevation gain, but there are no technical difficulties.

A pleasant circular walk, starting from Cauterets, through the forests and ravines of the Saint-Savin Valley. The walk is classified as moderately difficult for hikers with some mountain experience. The route is circular and climbs through a beech forest towards abandoned barns. You’ll be charmed by the harmony of the pastoral setting. After a very steep climb, which you’ll need to tackle at a steady pace, you’ll return at a leisurely pace along a gentler route.

Here is another way to reach Lac d’Isaby from Ortiac. Along the way, you will visit the ruins of Saint-Orens Abbey and the Paspich and Pradets waterfalls before reaching Lac d’Isaby and climbing up to the Cabane Picourlet.

Circular route in the foothills of the Béarn Pyrenees. Beautiful views over the plains of Bruges Nay and, further afield, towards Pau. If Ossau is not visible, Durban, Montdragon and Moulle de Jaut beckon, as if inviting us to climb them soon. This hike can be completed as a round trip in 5½ to 6½ hours, including stops.

Tour of the barns and huts of Artigue, making a large circular loop through the summer pastures via the PR® and GR®10 trails. Pass through Plan de Montmajou and the border markers to Col des Taons de Bacanère. The return journey takes you past two huts and the Cigalère State Forest. A very pleasant hike in the gentle autumn sunshine with beautiful views of the peaks and 3,000-metre summits of the Luchonnais, sometimes whitened by the first snows.

North of the Tarbes-Tournay road, you will discover this magnificent tourist spot in the Coussan area. Recent improvements have made it a favourite spot for the people of Tarbes. A short walking route starting from Lac de l’Arrêt Darré, which can be completed in under 3 hours even with plenty of stops. You’ll enjoy a splendid view of the Pyrenees mountain range. This route is suitable for Nordic walking; allow 2 hours including warm-ups and stretches. The lake’s surroundings are an idyllic spot for a picnic and a nap. Sports facilities and equipment for repairing your bikes (road bike 81) are available, as well as a treetop route. A charming little restaurant completes the welcome at this site.
