On leaving Lourdes, take the expressway and exit at the Porte des Vallées des Gaves rest area. Follow the D921b through Agos and then Vidalos. Just before Ost, turn right onto the D102 until you reach the entrance to Ouzous. Park in the car park below the village (Rue de l'Église).
(S/E) From the car park, head south below the D102 and follow the start of the discovery trail downhill until you reach a fork.
Turn left before the Arralhès buildings, cross the Bergons stream and arrive at the Banhestou crossroads.
(1) Continue straight on Camin Deth Balandrau until you reach the crossroads of the following paths.
(2) Continue straight ahead to pass above the animal park and arrive at the first streets of Argelès-Gazost.
(3) Turn right onto Chemin des Acacias and continue to Place Georges Clemenceau.
(4) From there, turn right onto Chemin d'Arras until you reach Route de Gez (D102).
(5) Turn right, then left, cross this road and follow theGRP® to the fork, 60 m before the 635 m peak.
(6) Turn right at the hairpin bend and continue for about 200 m, then turn left towards Les Gerbes.
(7) Go straight up Chemin de Berthe, then take the Sentier de la Découverte above the village and go around Mont de Gez to the west until you reach a cross path.
(8) Turn right and continue straight up to the summit of Mont de Gez.
(9) To descend, head west. At the T-junction, turn right (north) and descend. Follow a few hairpin bends, head north-east and join a track.
(10) Turn left above Sencougot. Continue downhill until you reach a side path.
(11) Turn right and, at the fork, veer left. Continue east until you reach Souet at a fork.
(12) First turn left then right, continue straight ahead, pass under the power lines and continue along the path to the east until you reach Route du Bergons.
(13) Cross and take the path opposite, then rejoin Rue du Bayet (D102).
(14) Cross it and follow the path on the left that passes under Route de Gez (D102) and arrives at Rue de la Dairy Farm.
(15) Turn right onto it to reach the Sentier de Sere. Pass by the Bourdalat equestrian centre and arrive at the Banhestou crossroads, which you already passed on the way there.
(1) Turn left, taking the opposite route to the one you took on the way there, to reach the Ouzous car park (S/E). (2)
