Route around Coussan

From Tarbes, go via Séméac and Sarrouilles on the D21 to the Lac de l’Arrêt Darré car park.
From Tournay, go via Bordes and take the D14 to the junction with the D21, which leads to the Lac de l'Arrêt Darré car park.

(S/E) Follow the D21 towards Tarbes for 180 m.

(1) Turn right, crossing the D21 with care, and follow a path that climbs up towards the hillsides to the D49.

(2) Cross theD49 with care, and continue uphill before turning right, then continue along this downhill road for 1.3 km.

(3) At the junction with Chemin de La Bourdette, head east, cross the D14 carefully, then continue for 120 m.

(4) Turn right, heading south, then south-west; cross the D14 carefully in the opposite direction and continue to the D21.

(5) Cross the D21 with care, and follow the Ruisseau de l'Arrêt Darré upstream for 1.15 km.

(6) Turn left onto the D614, cross the bridge over the river, and follow the road to Gonez.

(7) Leave the main road that runs through Gonez, and turn right, heading west, up towards the hillside. Climb up to Larriou (340m).

(8) Return to the road and continue to the right, descending towards the lake via a small path.

(9) Turn right towards the embankment and cross it to reach the car park (S/E).
