A hike from a pretty little village on the Sentier Cathare GR®367, the GR®36, and the GRP® Tour des Fenouillèdes.A sense of direction is required. The reward comes at the summit, with its 360° panorama.On the way back, a visit to a large and beautiful cave is very interesting.
To the foot of the Château de Quéribus from Cucugnan

From the village, a climb to the foot of the Château de Quéribus on well-marked paths.

The descent is quite steep, after waypoint (5).
It's quite possible to do this circuit the other way round, and climb from waypoint (6) to (5).
The Tautavel Tower

This is an alternative way to the Tour de Tautavel from Cases-de-Pène. Advantage: sheltered from the tramontana wind. Disadvantage: sunny in summer.

A good, challenging hike, mostly off the beaten track, along ancient paths in the Sant-Pere massif. This hike offers incredible views of the Têt and Rotja valleys at the foot of Roc Campagna. 180° view with Canigou and its 2,784 m peak in the south.
De Lastourg à Villefranche-de-Conflent
Comment gagner Villefranche-de-Conflent depuis Lastourg sans emprunter la dangereuse N116, qui n'a aucune circulation piétonne de prévue ?Petite découverte d'un circuit alternatif le long de la Têt !Attention, cette randonnée qui emprunte un itinéraire partiellement sur le terrain d'ERDF (non clôturé), se fait à vos risques et périls !
De Lastourg au Canal de Jando
Cette petite randonnée d'un peu plus de 7km, emmène se balader sur les bords du canal de Jando (ou "Rec Nou"), canal d'irrigation abandonné, servant de sentier.Le circuit non balisé se situe sur le côté sud de la vallée de la Têt et permet une randonnée ensoleillée de 2h30 en marchant, 1h30 en courant sur les portions adaptées, à proximité du camping, permettant aux randonneurs, une alternative aux randonnées lointaines, obligeant à prendre son véhicule.
De Villefranche-de-Conflent au village des Horts (ruines)
Petite randonnée dans la montagne au-dessus de Serdinya, en partant de Villefranche-de-Conflent, jusqu'aux fontaines des Horts, village abandonné et en ruine. Cette randonnée emprunte l'ancien sentier de desserte du village "Chemin des Horts à Villefranche" porté au cadastre napoléonien, en très mauvais état cependant. On est dans un paysage bien typique des Pyrénées catalanes : montagne, et pourtant constructions et végétation méditerranéennes.
Roc Campanyà (1,134 m) from Mas de Lastourg (Sant Pere/Mont Coronat Massif)

Roc Campanyà rises to an altitude of 1,134 metres, just above the Mas de Lastourg campsite in the Têt Valley, very close to Villefranche-de-Conflent. It offers breathtaking views of the Têt Valley, the Rotja Valley, the Fillols Valley and the Canigou, the giant Catalan mountain. With a sheer drop of 834 metres, it looks inaccessible... but it isn't!

Refuge Sant Guillem - Chemin d'els Troncassers - Puig Sarraïns - La Llau

Second day of: Two days of discovery at the Sant Guillem Refuge, from the Sant Guillem Refuge.Between (8) and (12), a GPX track is strongly recommended or a very good sense of direction, despite the signposting and cairns being in very good condition. Observed at the end of July 2023.Coll de Serre Vernet via a magnificent balcony path in very good condition. The same applies to Puig dels Sarraïns.Return to the refuge via a beautiful path, then pleasant tracks through the woods.After a break at the refuge, return to the car park at La Llau via the usual route.
The Sant Guillem refuge via the Coll de la Rua - La Soca - l'Estanyol

First day of discovery: Two days of discovery at the Sant Guillem Refuge, with the climb to the Sant Guillem Refuge.Do not underestimate this day. The time indicated is accurate.From the La Llau hikers' car park, climb up to the Coll de la Rua.Continue along a small grassy track to the shelter and the Font del Brigadier.Then climb up a very steep path to La Soca.Next, head to Coll de l'Estanyol.Further on, begin a beautiful descent to the Sant Guillem refuge.Vast landscapes await you on this first day of your discovery hike.
Montferrer castle
This walk takes about an hour and a half to two hours including time to explore the castle. The way up is fairly steep but should be fine for people who are moderately fit.
Tour of Lake Cavayère near Carcassonne
Lake Cavayère is the place to visit in Carcassonne when the sun is out. The path around the lake is laid out clearly and is very easy to follow even with children (over ten years). The ever present lake provides a very pleasant setting.
From Collada de Roques Blanques to Pla Guillem via the ridges

Most of the walk is out in the open, with some very beautiful scenery. First, a steep climb to Puig de Collada Verda (marker 2403) and a geodesic marker. This is followed by a route along the ridge and a passage to Collada del Vents. Then watch out for the rocky Cingle dels Pelegrins, where there is no fence or protection. Keep away from them by following the path marked on the ground. A large cairn marks the end of the ridge. A return trip to Pla Guillem (signpost) allows you to enjoy the scenery.
Classified as difficult due to the length and number of ascents and descents throughout the hike and a dangerous zone (15) at (17).
Les Queroses - Coll de Bise - La Parcigoule

From Perpignan, head towards Le Boulou, Céret, Amèlies-les-Bains, Prats de Mollo via the D115. Then head towards La Preste via the D115a. Then turn right towards Parcigoule. Continue to the end of the tarmac road and park as soon as possible after the farm, without obstructing the passage. See practical information (¹).A sense of direction is necessary. The signposting is good in thefirst part.Plan for a simple return trip after heavy rain. See the practical information section (²).
The Two Fountains circuit

Hike to discover the fountains of Laroque-des-Albères: the Font dels Simiots and amazing animals which, according to legend, kidnapped babies and came to settle near the fountain after being dislodged from Arles-sur-Tech; the Font de la Vernosa, a well-preserved, beautiful fountain from where one has a magnificent view of the plain of Roussillon.
Fontfroide Massif

A loop from the magnificent Abbaye de Fontfroide in the massif of the same name. There are 360° views of the Corbières, the Pyrenees and the Aude coastline.
With no major difficulties, the route only takes in the DFCI paths of this highly protected massif.
The Combe d'Enfer in the Massif de Fontfroide

You'll discover part of the Massif de Fontfroide between the Domaine de Jonquières and the Abbaye de Fontfroide (visit possible), thanks to the many DFCI trails closed to motor vehicle traffic. The demanding section of the Combe d'Enfer should be walked with care, or even avoided after rain. An alternative route, described in the practical information section, allows you to bypass this tricky section.
