Start from the car park of the multi-purpose hall in Saint-Martin-du-Mont. The trail winds its way around the Bois de la Cha woods, passing through Gravelle and Soblay.
Mont Rignat and the springs of the Reyssouze
A beautiful loop passing through a small, easy, unobstructed peak offering a wide panorama of the Bugey, the Bresse plain, the Beaujolais mountains and the Lyon region. The springs of the Reyssouze reward us at the end of the hike.
Loop in the Montagne Noire starting from Revonnas
Walk in the Revermont between Revonnas and Ceyzériat via the Montagne Noire. Beautiful view of the plain and, to finish, a detour to the Ceyzériat waterfall.
Hautecourt Cave Loop
Short loop passing through the Hautecourt Cave Nature Reserve. Hike with no technical difficulty, alternating between woodland and open spaces. The climb up to the Mont Rosset plateau is a little steep, watch out for cows, but you'll be rewarded at the end. Please note that the cave itself is not open to visitors, even though it was France's first underground nature reserve in 1980. Don't be disappointed, though, as there are a dozen information panels on the surface explaining the cave's biodiversity and its exploration in the past. Along the vineyards of Cerdon
This circular route allows you to explore the heights of the village of Cerdon along the vineyards, with a magnificent view of the valley from the ruins of Saint-Alban Church.
Tour of the Cerdon heights
The aim of the route is to complete a beautiful loop overlooking the Cerdon: after crossing the vineyards overlooking the valley, the route continues on the plateaus of Saint-Alban and Labalme, returning to the starting point via the Combe Cugnat and a slight detour via Mont Carmier.
Visit the beautiful little town of Bourg-en-Bresse
Discover the medieval town of Bourg-en-Bresse. Tour the streets to admire the well-preserved half-timbered houses. Plaques on the remarkable façades explain their history.Departure from the car park of the Monastery of Brou, a remarkable building that is definitely worth a visit.
Around L'Abergement-de-Varey
Walk in Bugey along the banks and heights of the Oiselon Valley, crossing wooded areas, meadows and a few vineyards.
The Jarbonnet Rocks
After an initial wooded section, you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Ain river valley from the top of the Jarbonnet rocks. The river winds its way through the valley below. The summit is not very popular and is mainly known to climbers who enjoy the routes offered by the cliff.
Léchères Pond
An easy route that takes you past the many ponds of the Dombes. Bring your binoculars.
Circuit of the 11 lakes in the Dombes
This walk takes you through typical Dombes landscapes such as ponds, fields and copses. There are many ponds to see, making this route particularly interesting. Remember to bring your binoculars.
Overhangs of the Ain Gorges: Bolozon - Balvay - Solomiat - Napt
This is a circular route from Bolozon, passing through pretty villages (Balvay, Solomiat and Napt) and overlooking the Gorges de l'Ain.
This is a "classic" route (often suggested in the opposite direction) that does not present any major difficulties.
Circular Mont Balvay via Solomiat, Vers and Napt
A variation on the classic Mont Balvay hike, with a detour via Vers. This route offers a different perspective with a route across the plateau from Vers. The climb up to Vers through the woods is pleasant, well marked and picturesque. The descent to Napt is also very enjoyable.
Mont Luisandre - L'Abergement de Varey
A beautiful hike on the western edge of the Bugey (Revermont) through hills and valleys, across combes and ridges, forests and pastures. Viewpoint and panorama of Mont Luisandre, plus others along the way.
Château des Allymes and Mont Luisandre
A beautiful hike from the Château des Allymes, mostly in the forest, on little-used paths.
Passes by Mont Luisandre and the ruins of its14th-century castle. Beautiful view of Allymes Castle and the Ambérieu plain.
Of course, you can visit Allymes Castle at the end of the hike.
