Departure from Jujurieux church. You can park in the church car park or, if it is full, take Rue de la Térèche and park near the cemetery.
(S/E) Turn right onto Rue de l'Église, then right onto Rue Claude-Joseph Bonnet. Then take the third right (Chemin des Châtaigniers).
At the end of the road, take the path on the right that goes up towards the cemetery and go around it on the left. Continue along the road to Rue de la Térèche, then turn left onto Chemin du Plan.
(1) After the first house, take the path immediately on the left. After a few dozen metres, follow the yellow markings to the right and up to a clearing.
Turn left towards "Le Bévieur" until you reach the road, which you cross, then take the path that climbs up opposite. Turn right at the next fork, pass a small house on the right of the path and continue until you reach a small climb and a fork with a path (markedGR® white and red).
(2) Turn right and take the path that descends steeply. When you reach a vineyard, go around it on the right and descend to a path below, which you follow to the left until you reach the road. Follow this road to the left.
(3) Turn right at a fork with a path that crosses the stream and turns south. Take the second path on the left at a wooden gate, then a second wooden gate on the left. Follow this path uphill, turning right at all the forks.
(4) Turn left at the viewpoint (Poncieux via the pastures) onto the path, which then turns into a track and arrives at a crossroads of three tracks near a sheepfold.
Take the tarmac road on the left (Montée de la Plantée) which descends into Poncieux.
(5) Turn into the first street on the left, Rue de la Fontaine, then keep left at the crossroads. After a few hundred metres, the road descends to another crossroads with four roads.
(6) Take the road that climbs opposite to a right-angle bend.
(7) Continue straight ahead on the path and turn left at each fork. The path joins a road which you follow to the cross located before the Mérignat cemetery.
(8) Turn left, then straight ahead at the next crossroads. Continue along the road.
(9) Take the second path on the right, then turn immediately left. Follow this path parallel to the road to Breignes.
Cross the road and continue straight ahead on the main path, following the signs for Chenavel.
(10) Turn left at the cross. At the next fork, a path climbs up opposite onto the promontory; turn right then left at the next fork. Stay on this wider path for almost 2 kilometres until you reach a right-angle bend.
(11) At the signpost "Chenavel 30 min" to the right, follow the path downhill opposite until you reach a Y-junction at the entrance to Chenavel.
(12). Turn left and follow the path.
(13) Turn right at the third fork; the path descends again.
(14) Turn right again at the third fork, staying on the widest path that descends.
(15) At the next fork with a gravel path, take the path on the left that climbs towards Jujurieux and then joins Chemin de la Mouille. Follow this tarmac path to the entrance to Jujurieux; Chemin de la Brosse takes you back to the left and then up to Rue de l'Église and your starting point (S/E).
