Wild and secretive, the Viaur valley reveals its charms only to the most curious. The Viaur flows peacefully, surrounded by deep gorges and dotted with numerous mills and swimming areas.

An excursion along the banks of the Aveyron river, dominated by the medieval village of Najac. Below the village, the route is mostly shaded and runs peacefully along the river.

Follow theGR® 36 trail up the Aveyron river, then take the small country roads back to the village of Laguépie.

Perched on its rocky outcrop, Jouqueviel Castle, from the Occitan "joc" meaning perch and "vielh" meaning old, lives up to its name. Its ruins remain a testament to feudal life, having valiantly resisted the ravages of time. You will walk along the banks of the Viaur, which will take you to the 12th-century Chapelle des Infournats, and continue on through the pretty little hamlets of L'Ouradou and Lauretié. Follow the signs for "sentiers de Lauretié L'ouradou".

On the edge of the Viaur valley, this rural hike offers a variety of pleasures. History buffs will not be indifferent to the various sites visited: the Mégalithe du Cheval du Roi, the Chapelle Saint-Amans de Cadoule and, finally, the Roman bridge at Bergougnoux. Nature lovers, meanwhile, will be delighted by the many panoramic views stretching as far as the Monts du Cantal and the Pyrenees, a real treat for the eyes.

Hike through agricultural land, alternating between the stony paths of the Causse plateau to the west and the chestnut forests typical of the Ségala region to the south-east. Remarkable rural heritage punctuates the trail: cazelles and garriottes, stone bread ovens, wash houses and Quercy houses with conical roofs. This route is marked along its entire length: aPR®: yellow markings (namedPR®2on the wooden signs) which sometimes follows theGRP® route: red and yellow markings.

This beautiful hike will take you through three villages that are well worth a visit for their location and architectural heritage. The route is varied and offers beautiful views of the Albigeois and Carmausin regions.

A varied hike through woods, fields and meadows that joins the Zère, a tributary of the Cérou, passing by the Château de Saint-Hippolyte, built in the 14th century and since restored. Two medieval villages offer an interesting heritage: Monesties, one of the most beautiful villages in France, and Salles-sur-Cérou with its picturesque red sandstone houses.

This short walk in the hills around Monestiès offers beautiful views of the village and the Ségala mountains. After crossing the Lauzeral forest, the trail winds along the old railway line. Remember to take a torch to get through the unlit tunnel. Yellow markings "La Borie Blanche"

A little-used trail to discover a wild part of the Bonnan Valley. Wide tracks and pretty little paths running along both sides of the Bonnan stream offer a different view of the valley.

Landscapes of cliffs and valleys in the Bonnan valley and the Grézelles forest. This route only uses paths and tracks in the middle of unspoilt nature. This is the classic version of the Vallée de Bonnan trail, as described in the Tarn à pied guidebook and on the FFRP information sheets.

Cordes... a magnificent Albigensian fortified town, to be discovered from the rolling trails of the Causse. PLEASE NOTE: The millstone caves are on private property and access is now prohibited.

A walk to discover the castles near Cordes. The Château de Cazelles was an advanced defence for Cordes. The Château de Livers dates from the 15th century and owes its charm to the Renaissance. The route only follows wide paths and trails.

This loop allows you to visit the Chapelle Saint-Jean, an endearing place with a strong link to the history of Cordes-sur-Ciel. The tour ends in the tourist centre of the bastide town of Cordes for a well-deserved visit and break.

The loop first follows a model of the solar system on a scale of 1/2 billionth along the GR®36, then plunges into the Assou valley to discover the natural and vernacular heritage of the commune of La Rouquette. The route features numerous information panels describing the landscapes you will encounter, their history and the local heritage. The hike also passes through a wetland rich in plants and animals typical of these environments.

Near Cordes-sur-Ciel, a small village awaits you to discover its history and its Merovingian necropolis. Along the paths and small roads, you can take part in an interactive treasure hunt. The safe and its secret await you.

This pleasant loop in the Cordais hills, between vineyards and woods, allows you to discover a unique geological feature (the rougiers) and beautiful views of the villages of Cordes and Tonnac. The hike was created by the Tarn department and marked by volunteers from the FFRandonnée.

A hike in the footsteps of the old coal mines.

A hike that alternates between small villages, castles and churches, with the added bonus of a breathtaking view of Cordes-sur-Ciel. Best done in spring or, even better, in October, when the vines change colour. In summer, the shaded areas in the undergrowth are very welcome.
