Park on Place du Château-Mairie, behind the church in Mouzieys.
The trail is partly marked with yellowPR® markings and red and whiteGR®36markings, with some unmarked sections.
ThePR® trails concerned are "Chemin de Turondel" and "Capelle Sainte-Lucie".
PR Yellow Markings - Chemin de Turondel
(S/E) With your back to the town hall, leave the village via Les Lices des Créneaux. At the crossroads, turn right and head towards La Peyrière. Pass below the estate.
(1) Turn onto the narrow grassy path on the right (not very visible). This pretty path between box trees and oaks overlooks the valley on the Capelle Sainte-Lucie side. It goes around Térondel, descending then climbing up to the left on a wide track as it approaches the Rayssac stream.
(2) Turn left onto the path to avoid crossing a private field.
No markings
(3) Leave thePR® - Chemin de Turondel and continue straight ahead. Admire the pretty stone cross embedded in the corner of the low wall on the left as you pass. Head north until you reach the road, ignoring the paths that cross it. At the road, turn right and then, at the next four roads, continue straight ahead.
GR - Red and White Markings
(4) At the power lines, take a sharp right turn. The wide track leads to the road. Head left, passing in front of the large farmhouse at La Plaine.
(5) Continue along the road, ignoring the track on the right. This short unmarked section turns right, passes in front of the Couronne farm and rejoins the track.
(6) When you reachthe GR®36, turn left onto the narrow dirt track, which ends at a road.
No markings, then occasionally yellow markings not assigned to this route.
(7) At the T-junction, turn right, ignoring the cross markings. After 100 metres, at the next four roads, cross and continue straight ahead towards Cantarrane le Haut.
(8) In front of the ruins of Sainte-Lucie, leave the road and go up the dirt track on the right. This section belongs to the "Capelle Sainte-Lucie" route, taken in the opposite direction to the country signs. The ruins of Sainte-Lucie have become private property and can only be admired from the outside. A wrought iron cross has been moved and taken to the next village.
(9) The village centre is the crossroads of several hiking trails. A signpost shows the Capelle Sainte-Lucie trail, which is part of this route.
(10) The village tour includes a 200-metre round trip to a beautiful wash house and its adjoining well.
(9) After the visit, resume the route by turning left onto Route de Mouzieys-Panens. Pass a road on your left and arrive at the Calvary crossroads.
(11) Turn right to go around the southern part of the village. N.B. The cross at the crossroads is hidden by a hedge of evergreen trees and is not very visible. Further on, ignore the road on the right that leads to the large bridge. At the fork, go up towards the church, pass on the right to reach the Château/Mairie de Mouziey (S/E).
