Gentle hiking in Montpon-Ménestérol
This route takes you along the Isle river, using the footpath on the Pont de Ménesplet, Marcillac and Vauclaire bridges, passing by the Chandos leisure centre. The footpath is designed to provide continuous pedestrian access along a stream or river. This footpath, which follows the old towpath, allows you to immerse yourself in protected natural surroundings.
The two locks from Le Pizou
This route combines history with nature: much of the walk follows the River Isle.
Also worth visiting: the Coly forges, a testament to a major industrial and steel-making industry, and the Monument de la Plaine, a historic site from the Second World War.
La Guirandolle loop in Eygurande-Gardedeuilh
A trail in the heart of the Double Forest that winds through woods and paths, crossed here and there by a small stream. Ponds will appear as you walk along. A very shaded trail, ideal for families as there is little road.

Tour of the mills of Montpeyroux

The circular from Montaigne to Saint-Michel-de-Montaigne
This hike winds its way near the Château de Montaigne, located in the commune of Saint-Michel-de-Montaigne. It is a 14th-century fortified house that was the family home of the Renaissance philosopher and thinker Michel de Montaigne.
The vineyard is part of the Bergerac appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC).
The pond turtle trails in Saint-Aigulin - Southern route
The commune of Saint-Aigulin offers a superb hiking trail through the Double forest, its moors, ponds and village. Biodiversity abounds here, particularly in the summer months, with a heritage species: the European pond turtle.
