Chemin d'Art in Liessies
Détours is an association created in 2024 by residents of Liessies and the surrounding area with the aim of promoting the remarkable architectural and landscape heritage of the Avesnois region and developing art and culture for its residents and visitors. Young and old alike will discover works of art created with respect for the landscape and biodiversity as they stroll along paths and trails. The association is currently developing an art trail in the Liessies Abbey Park, the Bois l'Abbé Forest and the village of Liessies with the participation of six artists.
Watermill Trail in Felleries
This route is aimed at experienced walkers but offers the chance to discover typical Avesnois villages and, above all, four watermills on the Belleuse and the Helpe Majeure.
Path along Fache d'Ahant
A wooded, undulating walk offering beautiful views over the Avesnois countryside and the meandering Helpe area.
Route des plaideurs (lit. "route des litigants") in Taisnières-en-Thiérache
This rural route, through the Avesnois bocage, is cut in half by the Helpe Majeure river. Walkers will discover a unique architectural heritage: numerous oratories and a water mill dating back to the 12th century. The route follows pleasant country lanes and dirt tracks, with no difficulties.

The route takes you on a tour of three kiosks and three water mills.It winds through the Avesnois countryside, with its hedgerows, pastures and orchards that are so characteristic of the Thiérache landscape. This hilly route is suitable for experienced cycle tourists, while the shorter version is accessible to families.
