Departure from Place du Général de Gaulle in Sains-du-Nord.
(S/E) With the church on your left, turn left onto Rue Edmond Wiart and then immediately left.
(1) Turn right onto Rue Léo Lagrange, which continues onto Rue Jules Hiroux.
(2) At the corner of No. 43, turn left onto Rue Roland Michaux and at the T-junction, turn right onto Rue André Baudin.
(3) At the three-way junction, turn left onto Rue Traversière. At the end, turn right onto Rue du Petit Étang.
(4) At the crossroads, turn left onto Rue du Bois l'Abbé and at the next fork, continue right onto Rue du Bois l'Abbé. At the Maison Forestière de Sains-du-Nord, continue straight on Bois l'Abbé until you find a cycle path on either side of the road (Voie Verte de l'Avesnois)..
(5) Turn left onto this path, along Chemin Louis de Blois. Pass the Grand Étang on your right and, further on, the Château de la Motte, also on your right. Continue straight ahead until you reach a three-way junction.
(6) Continue on the greenway to the left. Cross the D133, pass the Helpe Majeure, then the Bois de la Garde de Belleux and continue straight ahead until you reach the D962.
(7) Leave the greenway, turn right onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle, pass a chapel on your right, then continue on Grand Rue, which turns to the right.
(8) Opposite the church, turn right and pass in front of the town hall of Solre-le-Château. Take Ruelle Gravez, passing under the porch after the town hall, at the corner of No. 11. At the end, turn left onto Rue de Clairfayts.
(9) At the four-way crossroads, turn right onto Route du Quartier, continue straight ahead, pass Le Supré and Le Quartier. Continue for a few metres on the D104, then quickly turn right off it towards La Garde de Willies.
(10) At the next fork, turn right onto Rue de Willies and continue straight ahead.
(11) At the access road to the Garde de Willies farm, continue straight ahead and cross the Bois de la Garde de Willies.
(12) At the T-junction, facing the houses, turn right onto Rue de Beumont, which continues as Rue des Beaux Monts until the three-way junction.
(13) At the junction with the D133, continue straight ahead on Rue des Beaux Monts, which becomes Rue de l'Helpe.
(14) Turn left onto Route Roger Salengro, pass the Helpe Majeure, and continue straight ahead.
(15) Near the church, take the right-hand bend, pass in front of Liessies Town Hall and turn right onto Rue Clémenceau (D613), then continue straight ahead.
(16) At No. 46 and the bar-restaurant, turn left onto Rue de la Motte, then take the first road on the right and rejoin the route you took to get here.
(6) Continue straight ahead (in the opposite direction) on the cycle path.
(5) At Route forestière Bois l'Abbé, turn right, still in the opposite direction to the way you came, towards the Maison Forestière de Sains, and continue along Rue Bois l'Abbé.
(4) Near Sains du Nord, turn right onto Rue du Petit Étang and follow the same route you took on the way there until you reach the Church of Saint-Rémi (S/E).
