In a bend of the Marne
This hike forms a circular loop around a large bend in the Marne river. It passes through La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, Chamigny, Sainte-Aulde and Luzancy. The route includes sections along the banks of the Marne and through woods and forests, as well as some beautiful views of the hillsides and the river.
Petit Morin Valley - Jouarre Abbey and the Dhuis Aqueduct
Rich in heritage, Jouarre is a commune overlooking the Petit Morin shortly before it joins the Marne. This hike, which alternates between cultivated fields and woods, runs alongside the Etang de Péreuse and then offers a route with little elevation gain on the embankment of the underground Dhuis aqueduct. There are beautiful views of the Marne and Petit Morin valleys.

From Nanteuil to La Ferté-sous-Jouarre between the Marne and the hillsides
A hike from station to station (easily accessible by train), shaded between balconies overlooking the Marne, meadows and fields along the river, alternating between woods and vineyards. The route follows a relatively wild and quiet circular loop of the Marne. Ideal in dry and sunny weather.
(!) Be aware of hunting days. Check with the town hall for hunting days (every other Sunday).
The bend in the Marne at the confluence with the Ourcq
A very varied hike alternating between paths along rivers, through fields and in forests.
The route passes through several pretty villages: Isles-les-Meldeuses, Mary-sur-Marne, Tancrou and Saint-Jean-les-Deux-Jumeaux. The gently rolling terrain offers beautiful views of the Marne valley and the hillsides that line its meanders.
From Isle-les-Meldeuses to Meaux
Between Isle-les-Meldeuses and Meaux, along the Marne and the Canal de l'Ourcq, discover a corner of Île-de-France that is rich in nature, heritage and symbols. Shady paths, soothing rivers, nature reserve.
The Château de la Trousse and the banks of the Marne
This hike alternates between climbing a cultivated plateau with extensive views and a pleasant walk along the Marne, the Ourcq and finally the Canal de l'Ourcq. There is beautiful heritage along the way, including the Château de la Trousse, the Montsoutin farm and the Church of Tancrou.
The Butte de Doue and the Forest of Choqueuse
The Butte de Doue rises above the Plateau Briard and offers extensive views. With its 13th-century church, it is the central feature of this hike, which also includes a route through cultivated plains and along streams and a circular loop through the forest. There are many possible variations.
L'Emprunt walking trail
This hike takes you along the route of the old railway line that used to run eastwards. Now disused and dismantled, the track is used as a hiking trail. Part of this walk also follows in the footsteps of the First World War in the Petit Morin valley.
The Etangs du Grand Voyeux and the Trois Rivières
At the confluence of the Marne, Ourcq and Thérouanne rivers, the ponds and reed beds of the Grand Voyeux regional estate are home to a huge number of birds. The walk begins on the observation path of this protected natural site. It then hops along the River Thérouanne, along the Canal de L'Ourcq and the Canal de la Thérouanne, and ends along the Marne. Water and birds are the main attractions on this route!
The Marne Valley between the Ourcq Canal and Monceaux forest
Hiking along a bend of the river Marne. The circuit follows along streams in its first part, then crosses part of the Montceaux forest. There are beautiful panoramic vistas at every break in the tree cover.
Around Trilport
A varied hike between the Montceaux forest and the Dhuys aqueduct.

The lands of Chilperic from Trilport
A varied and easy hike that will take you along the Marne to Poincy, through the former estates of Chilperic, a high-ranking Merovingian dignitary. It continues through Germigny l'Évêque and its château, which was much loved by Bossuet. It ends with a route to Trilport through the woods of Montceaux-les-Meaux, the hunting grounds of Gabrielle d'Estrée.

After walking through the Parc des Capucins and a few paths in Coulommiers, climb up to the former Commandery of the Knights Templar. The route continues mainly between cultivated fields with a few beautiful farmhouses along the way and the beautiful church of Aulnoy. After descending, follow the Grand Morin valley before a final short climb.
From Mouroux to Faremoutiers via the Sainte-Aubierge Chapel
A hike from station to station that alternates between paths through fields and wooded areas. The Sainte-Aubierge Chapel is a peaceful place to stop for a break.
From Crouy-sur-Ourcq to Lizy-sur-Ourcq along the canal
A walk from station to station, mainly along the towpath of the Canal de l'Ourcq. A circular route allows you to gain a little height and admire the church of May-en-Multien, built in the 12th century, up close.
Between the Ourcq and the Clignon
Straddling three departments, this hike runs partly along the Ourcq Canal and its tributary, the Clignon Canal. You will also walk through fields and end with an original route through the Marais de Beauval and along the Rivière Ourcq, surrounded by dense vegetation that is home to many birds. A stroll through the village of Crouy-sur-Ourcq and the hamlet of Moisy, with their rich heritage, complete this very diverse hike.
From Faremoutiers to Guérard via the slopes of the Grand Morin
A short hike from station to station that starts along the Grand Morin and then climbs the hillsides on its right bank. The river reappears at La Celle-sur-Morin with its old mills and charming church. The hike ends on the left bank, mainly between fields.
The Grand Morin Walk and the Aubetin Waterfall
At the confluence of two Briard rivers, this is a bucolic hike that alternates between woodland and fields with short passages through small villages.
From Faremoutiers to Mortcerf via the mills of Grand Morin
A hike from station to station between the Grand Morin valley and its hillsides, with a varied route through woods, fields, meadows and old orchards. It is also an opportunity to admire two of the old mills that were once scattered along the river.
The Clignon Valley starting from Belleau
Along the way, you will pass through the charming villages of the Clignon Valley, the Moulin de Brisé in Monthiers, the wash house in Licy Clignon, the fountain in Torcy en Vallois, the American and German military cemeteries in Belleau, and the Bois de Belleau.
Grand Morin loop starting from Guérard
The suggested loop alternates between passages near the Grand Morin through the countryside, woods and Briard hamlets with their carved stone houses. The entire route is accessible by train.
