(S/E) With your back to the bridge over the Petit Morin, head due east along Avenue Daniel Simon, cross the branch of the Petit Morin and turn left into Rue des Rosettes, which you follow straight on until you reach the edge of the woods.
(1) Ignore a turn-off to the left, head off to the right along the edge of the woods and turn left twice at each new path.
(2) When you reach the hamlet of L’Hermitière, turn left into Rue des Vieilles Vignes, then right into Rue de la Source. At the T-junction, turn right into Rue des Meulières for about 400 metres.
(3) After the bus stop, head up to the left onto Chemin du Bois Labille, which runs between two properties, then take the first path on the right and follow the D68 up to the left.
(4) Turn right onto the first farm track running alongside the woods. Continue along a track that can be muddy in winter, through the old millstone quarries, then follow the edge of the woods, ignoring any side tracks, until you reach the Route de Chavosse and follow it for a few dozen metres.
(5) Cross the road and follow the path leading down opposite, taking care after heavy rain. Ignore the path branching off to the left and continue down to a crossroads.
(6) Take the path on the right, which becomes the Chemin des Poncets at the hamlet known as Les Hameaux, and continue straight on until you reach the Route de Bussières.
(7) Turn left at the hamlet known as Les Terres Blanches, ignore the road on the left and emerge onto the Route de Saacy (D68). Follow it down to a ‘Stop’ sign.
(8) Cross over to the opposite side and take the Allée Tournante; turn left to follow the right bank of the Petit-Morin up to the bridge, which you cross to the right, continuing to the second bridge over the Petit-Morin, which you cross.
(9) Turn onto the left bank of the Petit-Morin to follow a wildlife trail which veers off to the right along a overgrown path that zigzags between the poplars until it reaches the Route de la Vallée (D31).
(10) Turn left after climbing the embankment, taking the D31 towards Orly-sur-Morin; then, after 100 metres, cross the road and take the Chemin de la Halte on the left. Pass the old station, then take the Rue de Courcilly opposite, which veers left towards the centre of the hamlet of Courcilly.
(11) Turn right onto a footpath between houses Nos. 11 and 9 to reach the old railway track, which you leave at the second junction on the left into the woods. Follow this stony path uphill to Les Neuillis.
(12) Ignore the road on the left and turn right onto the first farm track above the last house. Flat at first, this track winds its way down through the wooded slopes of Saint-Cyr. Ignore any turn-offs to the left or right and continue to a crossroads.
(13) Turn left, go through the gates, follow this clear path – which once again follows the route of the old railway line – and continue to the gates on the Route des Montgoins (D37).
(14) Turn right, then left onto Rue Verte, which you follow downhill to the ‘Stop’ sign. Then continue straight ahead onto Promenade Pierre Mac Orlan, cross the bridge, then turn right onto Rue des Rosettes, which you follow to the sports grounds.
(15) Turn right before the tennis courts, cross the sports grounds and take the bridge opposite that spans the branch of the Petit Morin, go past the town hall on the right, then over a second small bridge.
(S/E). Return to the car park where you started, on Avenue Daniel Simon
