Guillestre walks

A relatively short and easy walk around the "Vauban" citadel of Mont-Dauphin. From the top of the circuit, there are fine views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, while the section along the river Guil offers a view not only of the Guil, but also of the Chalp canal waterfall. The walk can be followed by a stroll around the citadel.

You'll take the Aiguillettes path up to the two major passes above Ceillac, then join the Col de Fromage via the Souillet path on the Guil valley side, on a beautiful balcony path. ⚠️Caution: the Aiguillettes path crosses 3 ravines that may pose problems for some. If this is the case, you can take the GR® which starts nearby and ends at the same point. Less interesting but quieter.

A place of pilgrimage on 26 July on the feast day of Anne, this lake at the foot of the Col Girardin is an obligatory stop-off point for pilgrims on the famous GR®5.

A fine hike, not too strenuous, with a pretty lake in a high-mountain landscape. The last part, a little harder, takes you up to 2800m and offers magnificent views. A few marmottes can be seen on the way to the pass.

Quite a long stage but a steady route. A climb up to Col de Mary then a long downhill hike all the way to the shelter, in Chiaperra, Italy.

Embrun is a town located in the heart of the Durance Valley. Rich in history, it is located not far from Lake Serre-Ponçon. There is a small lake next to it. Walking around it is a pleasant stroll, with views of the surrounding mountains, including Pic de Morgon and Mont Guillaume. It is a walk that can be enjoyed with young children.

A short circuit from the hamlet of Pierre Grosse through the ski slopes to reach and discover Saint-Véran.

First stage around the Chambeyron Mountain Range which, after a steady climb, takes you to the shelter with the same name. You'll end up in a breath-taking setting, at the foot of Brec de Chambeyron.

Reaching over 3000 metres in altitude, Aiguilles de Chambeyron and Brec de Chambeyron form an impressive mountain range halfway between Queyras and the Moncantour. This hike offers a trek with no techincal difficulty, with passes over 2700 m in altitude and a summit of over 3000 m. Set in an outstanding landscape and for the most part within a high mountain setting.

In the foothills of Mont Guillaume, a short hike through the forest overlooking Puy-Sanières and Puy Saint-Eusébe, with a breathtaking view over Lac de Serre-Ponçon.

The most demanding stage of the hike during which you'll go through at least 4 passes at over 2700 metres in altitude. Beautiful scenery all along the way! The "Lacs Marinet" offer the opportunity for refreshments before the final descent.

A climb to the highest point of this hike around the Chambeyron mountain range, at over 3000 metres in altitude. A summit offering an unobstructed view over Queyras and the neighbouring mountain ranges. A downhill route allowing a well-deserved rest by a lake.

Panoramic view of Lake Serre Ponçon from the Pic du Morgon (2,324 m). A family hike that can test your legs on the last part. For information: The Morgon mountain pasture is closed to dogs from 15 June to 15 September. They are tolerated on a leash between 15 July and 15 August. 17.05.2023: The Grand Clos car park is only accessible via the Abbaye de Boscodon. If travelling by car, do not attempt to access the site via any other GPS route.
