The Col de Bramousse and Col de Fromage via the Col de Souillet
You'll take the Aiguillettes path up to the two major passes above Ceillac, then join the Col de Fromage via the Souillet path on the Guil valley side, on a beautiful balcony path.
⚠️Caution: the Aiguillettes path crosses 3 ravines that may pose problems for some. If this is the case, you can take the GR® which starts nearby and ends at the same point. Less interesting but quieter.
Tour du Queyras
The Tour du Queyras, labelledGR®58, is adaptable. The route described, starting from Château Queyras and completed in a group in September 2008, will take you through this natural park, skirting and climbing some 3,000 metres. You will discover the beautiful villages of this park with their well-known names: Ceillac, Saint Véran, Abriés... What's more, in summer the weather is almost always fine. The bright blue sky the next day will quickly make you forget the storm of the previous evening.
Ceillac and its hamlets via the Cols de Bramousse and du Fromage
A lovely walk on well-marked trails, long but not too difficult. There are several scenic viewpoints and the return route passes through pretty hamlets.
Crête des Chambrettes
This circular route offers a bird’s-eye view of the village of Ceillac, passing through two famous passes linked to theGR® long-distance hiking routes. Thefirst, the Col de Bramousse, leads via the Crête des Grangettes and its signal station, and thesecond tothe Col de Fromage. Both are part of the Tour du Queyras; the Col de Fromage is a must for anyone doing theGR®5, the Holland-Mediterranean crossing.
