The Montane river plunges into the ravine in three successive waterfalls, and there is a village with a medieval character.
This route around this beautiful, steep-sided valley also allows you to discover the ruins of the church of Saint-Étienne-de-Braguse, the site of La Gour with its fourth waterfall and the ruins of the mill.
The hike continues towards the waterfalls and the old toll bridge.
This route does not go directly to the three waterfalls, which require a fee to access!

Treat the whole family to a relaxing break in an enchanting setting along the Deiro, where you can learn about the history of the renovated mills. A refreshing spot during the hot summer months, where the more adventurous can dip their feet in the water or even find small pools as they cross the Deiro.
Autour du Sauvage starting from Vieillemaringe
This short trail, dotted with markers and artistic signs, will take you on a journey through the unique landscapes of Corrèze. Huge chestnut trees, dry stone walls and enormous quartz boulders bear witness to a bygone era and await your visit.
Around Laguenne
A short walk through the woods around Laguenne, 5 minutes from Tulle. It begins with a long climb, partly on road, but ends in the woods and along the River Saint-Bonnette. Best enjoyed in summer as it is entirely in the shade of the woodland.
Suc au May in the Monédières massif
A pleasant hike leading to the summit of Knoll Mary, which overlooks the Freysselines cirque and the Ganezande Pond. At the summit, equipped with an orientation table, there are beautiful views of the surrounding area.
Bassignac-le-Haut and the Dordogne
This is a short walk starting from the magnificent calvary of Bassignac-le-Haut, offering one of the most beautiful views of the Dordogne. It is an easy walk, with part of the route on a quiet road.
The Comberoute woods and the hamlet of Redenat: a circular route from Sirieix
A short walk, ideal for families. It starts gently through the woods, then takes you down a small “hollow” before climbing back up to Redenat and returning to the starting point. No traffic guaranteed. The wooded paths are well-maintained and the road section is safe.

A lovely route along quiet roads and wide paths around Sainte-Fortunade. This walk offers the chance to admire the exterior of the 15th-century Château de Sainte-Fortunade.
Via Notre-Dame du Puy du Bassin
A very pleasant circular route through fields and woods, with no major difficulties, in the heart of the Xaintrie Blanche, taking you to the region’s highest point, the Puy du Bassin, which rises to 709 m.
