The start is in the courtyard of the Château de Sainte-Fortunade, behind the village hall. You can easily park in the car park in front of the village hall, or near the stadium.
(S/E) Walk between the château and the church and head down Rue du Presbytère. Pass a dead-end on the right and take the road on the right which leads to the back of the stadium. Continue a few metres to the left on the D1E.
(1) Turn right into Allée de l'Etanchoux. Follow the lane up, keeping the stadium on your right. The lane continues as a path not shown on the IGN map, which climbs to the left. When you reach the road, take it to the left
(2) At the five-way junction, head towards Peyrelade. Continue straight on, keeping Peyrelade on your left.
(3) Take the first road on the right, then, at the end of the road, turn left onto a wide track. Continue on the left until you reach the hamlet of Lascours.
(4) As soon as you reach the tarmac, take a path that descends to the right, rejoin the road a little further down and take it to the right.
(5) Turn left onto Impasse du Mons, pass between the buildings on the right to reach a track that begins to descend to the right. Climb up the other side of the Ruisseau de la Donnette to the first houses of the hamlet of Les Torts.
(6) Take a path not shown on the IGN map immediately to the right. The path quickly becomes a road. At the three-way junction, continue straight on along the Route de Sainte-Fortunade.
(7) Please note: shortly after the junction leading to Ménoire Haut, leave the Route de Sainte-Fortunade and take a path climbing up to the left.
(8) Cross a road and take the path that descends immediately opposite. Ignore a path on the left and continue straight on until you reach the road.
(9) Near the D1, take the smaller road branching off to the right. Leave the road and take the first path on the left. Follow the main path, ignoring several paths leading down to the right.
(10) When you see the petrol station, leave the main path via a track not shown on the map which leads directly down to the station. At this point, there is a detour to the right leading directly to Sainte-Fortunade.
Cross the D940 and head down to the right. Leave the road via the first path on the left at elevation 506. Head straight up and then turn right onto the path that is not fully marked on the IGN map. Join the road at the hamlet of Embesse.
(11) Please note: immediately after the hamlet, leave the road straight away and take a path on the far right. At the junction, continue along the path on the right until you reach the road at elevation 512. Then turn sharply left onto a path slightly lower down. Continue along the main path to the place known as “Le Roc Blanc” and continue along the road. Pass a small pond.
(12) When the road takes a sharp bend to the right, head up a path on the left. Then, further on, continue along the road until the junction at elevation 559.
(13) Please note: at the junction, continue climbing straight ahead on the road, leaving the road leading to Les Bussières on your right.
(14) When the road crosses a track at elevation 564, take this track which descends to the right. Continue straight ahead on the main track.
(15) At the end of the track, turn right. Continue straight on until you reach the road.
(16) Take the road on the right. Shortly after the hamlet of "Chouvert", take a path on the right and continue right onto the road.
(17) At the hamlet of "Combebertou", take the road on the right to go along the pond mentioned on the way there, but on the other side. Continue along the path, the start of which is not marked on the IGN map. Stay on the main path, which becomes a road as you reach the hamlet of Coutèges.
(18) On leaving the hamlet, take the path on the right which forms a three-way junction with the road. This path is not marked on the IGN map and joins Rue de Chambas, which you should take on the right to reach the centre of Sainte-Fortunade (S/E).
