Curemonte walks

This walk (No. 2) will take you along four paths restored and maintained by the Les Clefs de Curemonte association: the Chemin de la Reyne, Chemin des Crouzets, Chemin de la Fontenelle and Chemin du Caté, allowing you to discover Curemonte’s three fountains: La Fontenelle, Valeyre and Le Chassang.

A walk that begins with a visit to the Way of the Cross at Puy Turlau. The hike offers several opportunities to admire the magnificent village of Curemonte and enjoy frequent unobstructed and pleasant views.

This walk will take you through a pretty village, its lively centre with shops, the old wine press, the fountain-wash house, the church... You’ll leave the village for a circular route offering varied scenery, from the banks of the “River of Hope” towards the hills of the hamlets of Laborie and Chapou; a gentle descent will bring you back to the Palsou and the Bétaille plain. We’ll follow the old water channel that once fed a watermill; we’ll cross our beloved Palsou once more near the school to return to the village...

This hike will take you through a pretty village, which you will leave behind for a circular route offering a variety of landscapes, from the plains of the Dordogne valley to the hills of the Lot and the pretty hamlet of Plagne. A long, gentle descent will enchant you with views of the cliffs of the "river of hope" and the Gallic oppidum of Uxellodunum de Vayrac. You will then walk alongside walnut groves before returning to the narrow streets of the village centre, the fountain/wash house, its lively centre with shops and the old wine press.

We’ll rejoin the Palsou to follow its most scenic stretch, then take the old irrigation canal to the watermill before returning to the village.

A lovely route that climbs to higher ground for beautiful views of the Dordogne Valley and the village of Altillac, before descending for a visit to Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne.

From the Dordogne valley, a path leads up to the heights of Altillac, south of the Xaintrie. The shared influence of Quercy (on the houses) and Cantal (on the barns) can be felt in the village.

A circular route starting from Meyssac towards Chauffour-sur-Vell along paths and small roads. Wash houses, fountains, springs and beautiful buildings adorn this fairly easy hike.

Loop around Meyssac and Collonges-La-Rouge to discover the geological fault that has left a deep mark on the ground. Red sandstone to the north and white limestone to the south will take you to the Chaise du Diable (Devil's Chair) where you can rest before diving back into the valley.

A circular route along wide paths from Saillac to the Château de Cavagnac. Beautiful views, a wash house and lovely buildings enhance this walk.

Walk around Collonges-la-Rouge.

This path through the hills above Collonges shows you how the village was supplied with water until the mid-20th century. Along this circuit, there are several points of historical interest with audio commentary available via audio terminals.

A very varied walk in the municipality of Floirac. Stream, "couasne" (backwater), mill, fountain, wayside cross and dry stone walls... It's a joy to discover all this heritage.
